Being welcomed I see:

Virtually no new refugees have arrived, hundreds of staff in resettlement agencies around the country have been laid off, and funding for resettling refugees who have already arrived has been uncertain.

 

Then, just over two weeks ago, the federal government informed Episcopal Migration Ministries that under the terms of our federal grant, we are expected to resettle white Afrikaners from South Africa whom the U.S. government has classified as refugees.
 

In light of our church’s steadfast commitment to racial justice and reconciliation and our historic ties with the Anglican Church of Southern Africa, we are not able to take this step. Accordingly, we have determined that, by the end of the federal fiscal year, we will conclude our refugee resettlement grant agreements with the U.S. federal government.

When was the last count of murdered white farmers in SA from the South African Government?

There is a decent sized SA community in Orlando and I know a couple of them. The murders of white farmers is real, if not the rate of death of South side Chicago. Who ever the author is he is either lying or not aware because he is not a farmer with a ton land.

 South Africa has the third-highest murder rate in the world, well ahead of Colombia and Mexico. The UK, with a similar population, has around 700 homicides a year; South Africa can log 450 in a week. Some of these victims are white farmers, but they are far from the only ones losing their lives at the hands of violent criminals. For every hundred murders, just 14 of the targets are women, 81 are men and five are children. Overwhelmingly, murder victims are young black men killed by other young, black men. Whites make up around eight per cent of the population and are the victims in roughly two per cent of murders. Poverty, rapid urbanisation, and vast numbers out of work have created a toxic situation that has given rise to crime, but not genocide.
 

White farmers in South Africa can hardly be blamed for feeling unsafe, but there’s scant evidence of murder and robbery being necessarily linked to skin colour. In an already violent country, the cost of living is soaring and tensions have been worsened by an influx of migrants from the rest of Africa, millions of whom have moved to Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town and even the remotest hamlet in search of work. These newcomers are typically from neighbouring states, like Zimbabwe and Mozambique, but also from Zambia, Malawi, Nigeria and even Pakistan and Bangladesh. Their presence has pushed up rents in the crowded townships where seven or eight black youths, often unemployed, might share a shack the size of a bathroom. Foreigners, they say, make it even more difficult to find a job.

They have politicians openly stating "kill the boer",so yes some people would feel it is aimed at whites. The murder rate is absurd there and it is due to the black population feeling justified. I only have one good friend from there, whose family farms, and he is constantly working to get his parents and sisters out of the country but selling a large farm there is difficult apparently.

Is not the government of South Africa carrying out a program of "land reform" which entails the confiscation of "white" owned and run farms and distribution of those properties to "native" blacks in the country? Let's guess where that leads. Lower farm output, higher food prices and shortages, starvation, civil unrest. I believe land redistribution is standard socialist/communist playbook policy.

The point here shouldn't be that white South African farmers are privileged and shouldn't be eligible for refugee status/asylum. Some have been violently targeted based largely on their race and not on some kind of orderly land redistribution law.

 

Rather, the point should be that Trump has essentially shut down refugee processing except for white Boer farmers. Are they really the most victimized people in the world right now? Why the special treatment? I know of only two logical answers: (1) their race; (2) Elon.
