Optimism leads to hope, hope leads to belief, belief leads to suffering. Pretty sure that Yoda guy said this.

I wrote about this on another thread but I try hard not to really believe. I dunno, I guess for me it makes it a little easier when they lose. Last time I really believed was the end of the AFCCG. Three minutes left, down by three, able to go at least tie it if not win it. I was like, "This is it, man. They're gonna knock off these red rat bastids and go to the Super Bowl! This is it, here we go!" And then we all know what happened. I was kickin' rocks for a week.

I'm always hopeful. I always want them to win, and there are a number of games I definitely feel like, "Yeah, they should stomp this team" but when I turn that into belief that's when they wind up and slug me right in the junk.

I always believe Super Bowl is a legit possibility with Allen at QB. But is this year any different/better?

Yes, because last season was looking to be a rebuilding year going in, and it turned out to be one of the better (regular) seasons in Bills history. This year, the team looks a lot stronger going in. If they are able to improve on the field as much as they appear to have on paper, it should be a very, very good season.
