Not denying that, but people used to say the same thing about Japan. That one worked out o.k. for us.

Correct, and Japan is still not innocent, but China is many magnitudes worse.

A complete scam as a trading partner, on all levels.

Simply horrible.

Well.  I didn’t see this coming.

But the man is standing up for Hollywood.

Hollywood!

I wish he could tweet - “Hollywood is making tremendous must see movies.  In theaters and on streams.  They feature the best actors and scripts.  In no way are they concerned with DEI first and checking off this box and that box for this group of people or that.  Only the best!”

Sadly, he cannot tweet that.

Good Lord. Will it ever end?

I'd like to see the reciprocal tariffs on U.S.-produced music. That would be a nice way to kill one of the industries in which the U.S. remains dominant.

American culture has remained a valuable assert for decades. Others wanted to be us and imitate us largely due to images they witnessed in movies.  He single handedly crashed the value of it and now wants to crush it with a movie tariff war.  We finally agree.  This is a very bad idea.

Through all the market’s tumult, U.S. companies have continued to deliver profit reports for the start of the year that have topped analysts’ expectations. Stock prices tend to follow profits over the long term, and that’s given the market a notable boost.

Three out of every four companies in the S&P 500 have beaten analysts’ expectations for profits in recent weeks, including such market heavyweights as Microsoft and Meta Platforms. They’re on track to deliver growth of nearly 13% from a year earlier, according to FactSet.

Oops, looks like the gang that couldn't shoot straight once again missed something; most incompetent administration in history.
