Democrats embrace nazi roots

Dude you tried to argue a few days ago we were Nazis until you could not come up with a single example of Nazis pushing something libertarian. Now just more name calling, par for course.

Dude, I never said you were a nazi and I never claimed libertarians were nazis. I don't know how you came to that but i guess maybe reading is not fundamental after all.

I don't think everyone on the right is a nazi and I don't think everyone on the left is a socialist. In fact, very very very very few people in America are nazis or socialists. On the spectrum of extremism, communism/socialism are the extremes on the left, while fascism (and probably juche) are the extremes of the right. When you get to the far extremes, your see a lot of similarities that give some credence to horseshoe theory but it doesn't mean that every type of authoritarian government is the same or originates from the same roots.

But the idea that the party run by the fascist Hitler that leveraged crushing socialists to gain support from the business class and had an event actually called The Night of Long Knives in which they literally murdered the party members who supported socialism (Strasserists), including one of the founders of the party, is somehow socialist because their name includes socialism is absolutely ludicrous to anyone with a modicum of understanding of history.

If you believe that the Nazis were socialist because the name includes socialism, then I guess you believe that North Korea really is a democratic people's republic.

I can see you haven’t read any of the assigned reading.

Socialism is the consolidation of power achieved by manipulating the idiots with the utopian sales pitch.  the most stupid of the stupid, inexperienced or naive buy and sell it. And promote the snake oil.

once the consolidation of power has occurred fascism is just a slightly more left step of even broader government power.

that’s what socialism inland communism is.

not the fairy tale version you morons subscribe to.  How can some adults be so unfathomably dumb and naïve??

The obvious reason for this I'd assume is at the far extremes you tend to stray into totalitarianism where on either side you're basically controlling everything anyway.

I see you like to just make stuff up and chastise people for not believing in your fantasy world.

You clearly have no idea what socialism is but have bought into the propaganda hook, line, and sinker.

Not sure how anyone can choose to be intentionally and willfully ignorant in this day and age, but here you are.

Yeah, basically. On the left you see people supporting government control as a means to help the people and that devolves into authoritarianism. On the right it’s often to punish the out-group but can result in the same sort of authoritarianism.

You keep calling Nazis on the right, we all agree libertarians are on the right of the political spectrum but they have nothing in common. Nazis have many items similar to socialists, including their name, and you keep acting like Hitler was murdering people in operation hummingbird for being socialists, he murdered them for being disloyal so he could consolidate his power.  Operation hummingbird was an all out assault on all who opposed him, which everyone who understands any part of WWII or European history knows. I explained this to you once before but you keep going back to a singular fact, the socialist murder, and think that was the goal. That murder was one of 100's to consolidate his power. I will ask one more time, what do Nazis and Libertarian have in common? You claim they are very similar, I claim they have nothing- your evidence should be easy to come by.

WTF is your fascination with libertarianism? I have not talked about it, I have not made accusations about it, but you keep lying about my views on it.

Can you not read? Are you not a native English speaker? Do you believe that there is only one singular outcome of political extremism for a political ideology?

The reason that I do not believe the Nazi party was socialist is that soon after Hitler took over, it took a hard right turn and then removed any remnants of socialism from the party. While it may have retained its original name, it did not retain any semblance of socialist ideology once Hitler was in full power.

Hitler was in full power of the Nazis in 1922 and came into full power of the country around 1934. But i do now realize something which I just refused to recognize before, you have no idea why or how he was a socialist or a right winger. You have about 5 facts and limit yourself to those so you don't have to admit that the Nazis are not right wingers.

After taking control of the party and the country, Hitler murdered the leftist leaders of the party. Therefore, he’s a leftist.

I’m beginning to think that maybe conservatives are right when they think education is broken. But maybe not for the reasons they claim…

Do you honestly believe that centralized government equals socialism?

That all centralized governments are the same and come from the same roots?

you’ve actually gotten to the point where you start off making the actual point, then follow it up by saying something so stupid you don’t even realize you made the point.

this is beyond fascinating

Do you honestly not understand that centralization vs division of power is the entire ball game?

Greece just a bunch of separate City States until a dictator comes along from one of them or somewhere else to force them under their power.

Ok, I have to ask because I’m really curious at this point:

How do you define socialism?
