Great, glad to see we’re on the same level as Mexico. What a high bar to clear.

You comfortable being on the same level as that?

You want to eliminate 99 percent of shootings? Classify gangs as terrorists and just lock them all up. Solve the gang problem you solve 99 percent of mass shootings

then you open up mental institutions back up and get them off the street. It’s very simple

Name one country where shootings like this happen multiple times a year.

el salvador

venezula

guatamala

colombia

honduras

brazil

peurto rico

brazil

virgin island

mexico

jamaica

south africa

and we have more than 1:1 ratio of guns in this country and barely crack the top 20%. the next closest country is in the mid 30%'s.

We are supposed to be the most advanced country on the planet, yet we’re down there with El Salvador, Columbia and Honduras. That’s not acceptable.

15 minute cities do not exist in real life (sadly).

Cause people strive for the American dream.  And the dream isn't a lifetime of renting and sharing while the owners of everything don't.

Just like you said before.  Your goal isn't to live in one.  But to live outside one.

The American Dream as we currently understand it was invented after WWII. Before that, people were perfectly happy in our cities. Alexis De Toqueville dedicated an entire chapter of Democracy in America to them.

I said I would move out of one if I had to because schools in the burbs are better. My ideal situation is a private home within Buffalo city limits (Elmwood, Parkside, etc) with good schools.

He wouldn’t have had easy access to said assault rifle. This is not difficult.

This is incorrect.

Apparently logic is difficult for you.

They already have a law that should have stopped him.

https://mainelegislature.org/legis/statutes/15/title15sec393.html

(1) Committed involuntarily to a hospital pursuant to an order of the District Court under Title 34‑B, section 3864 because the person was found to present a likelihood of serious harm, as defined under Title 34‑B, section 3801, subsection 4‑A, paragraphs A to C;

Maine voters know more than you think.

Sounds good, looking forward to more mentally ill domestic abusers killing 20+ people then. Thanks Republicans!

By the way, they’re absolutely legal solutions if you aren’t a staunch originalist.

Again, ignorant American belief. We are not and have not been the most advanced country on the earth. I don't know who is number 1 or what criteria is used. Nor do I care.

This country cannot be compared to any other country and vice versa. There are many reasons why this is so and they can be debated.

There is no debate on countries like UAE, Germany, China, Canada, the UK, NZ, and Australia, just to name a few. They have much limited freedom and/or much steeper penalties of law.

You're losing this argument wholy yet I know my statements do nothing to deter or challenge your thought processes. You've already firmly embedded yourself and gave your position on gun control away from the start.

I challenge you to find any statement I have said in support or against it in any of my posts. This is because I am open to dialogue on the topic.
