Hal got the yips when he saw that market was $15M aav..........whether it was a rental type or a 5 year deal type. Then they let Carpenter walk as well...........which makes no sense for $6M per year for 2 years. Meanwhile........the Mets payroll(with luxury tax penalties) is $495M.
