Yeah right.  Here's some stats.  Argue with these:  https://www.foxnews.com/politics/trump-widens-lead-desantis-rest-24-gop-primary-field-biden-holds-slight-general-election-edge-poll

For Desantis to win the primary he needs to out-trump, trump.  Not happening imo.  The cult has bought in completely.

LOL!  It's a year away from election season.

I don’t understand the reference. A book about meeting people online? And it’s the same as porn?

What books do you think are being removed from schools?

Not understanding the reference at this point means you are a political hack who literally has paid no attention to the real story.

Nope.  you are saying Desantis wins 70-30 when he's actually behind Biden.  And I'm betting the economy improves before Nov 24 (inflation already declining, fed slowing or stopping interest rate increases).  But it doesn't look good for desantis to win the primary.  Did you say that?  I musta missed it.

my apologies… this happens sometimes when I assume self proclaimed intellectual superiors are capable of connecting simple inferences. Goes back to the other topic that education credentials are obsolete as a proxy for smarts or tangible impact.

The latest RCP average is a dead heat between Joke and Desantis.  And Desantis hasn't even formally declared yet.

yes, what I said was clearly implied in that response🤣

And the 70/30?

Ok let’s be pedantic (look that one up it’s a good word)

- primary elections precede presidential elections

- primary elections occur to drive major political parties to select their respective top candidate

- Desantis would need a primary victory to run for president meaning he would need to beat trump and others among registered Republican voters to even make it to presidential candidate

the intent of the point, was if desantis got through the primary and went toe to toe with Biden, it would be enough to make Canada invade us immediately, because the guy in charge now is a houseplant

I think, therefore I am.  heard that somewhere.  I don't walk in lock step with Democrats.  Scumbags are scumbags and should be punished regardless of party.  Great people are great people.  I've played by the rules which sometimes aren't helpful to me but I expect others to play by them as well.  Perhaps unrealistic and understood but I always hope for better.  Oh, and another nice quote:  No man is an island.  I think that's from the Kama Sutra...

Threshold of a dream... and "no man is an island, he's a peninsula"... The Airplane

Because I cannot remember every single book pulled from Florida schools, that means I’m a hack?

I already pointed out that a book about two male penguins adopting a baby penguin had been removed. If you’d like a list of books being banned and challenged, you can check here:

Here’s a list of books banned, under review in Central Florida schools

My point is, and always has been, that the government should not be involved in banning books.

If you don’t want your kid reading a book, that’s up to you. And if the governor doesn’t want you kid reading a book, that’s definitely not his business.

If you think the school’s curriculum is inappropriate, bring it up with the school or find a new school.

But making it illegal to stock a book in a library because it doesn’t conform to government mandated content is un-American.

Nice, I was thinking of this

'For Whom the Bell Tolls/No Man is an Island' by John Donne is a short, simple poem that addresses the nature of death and the connection between all human beings. Donne begins by addressing the impossibility of solitude. “No man,” he says, is an island.

and 70/30?  what was that conjecture based on.  Indigestion?

Yes a political hack for claiming that a book being given to high schoolers is "banned". It is a lie and only true to political hacks. The books all are not banned because I can get all of them from my library, so I ask again why do you want to fight to sexualize children?

The government mandating the removal of books from school libraries is cool with you? Would it be cool with you if it was a liberal government removing books you wanted your children to read?

Please explain how two penguins adopting a baby penguin sexualizes children. I really can’t figure that one out. Unless conservatives think penguins are really sexy?
