Critical Race Theory

“How we face our history is how the future will remember us.”

Anyone ever see the Ben Stiller movie “Mystery Men” about a bunch of wannabe super heroes? There’s a character called The Sphinx whose super power is being REALLY mysterious. He spends the entire movie making statements just like that one. 😂😂😂

What is being taught? Educate US

Oh I know a lot about this subject, it’s been something I’ve been exposed CRT far before all of this blew up.

It’s funny seeing the talking heads on the left try and do word gymnastics and say CRT is not being taught in schools. Of course class is not called CRT, it is not going to be in your face like that. The elements of CRT are definitely being taught in liberal schools, people can see the lies the left will spew about it. They just won’t come out and say it because most people don’t want to be labeled as racist or whatever -ist -ism of the day. I’ll leave it there.

Blah blah blah is the very thing you say, I don’t need to explain to you. You don’t ascribe to reason just pure straw man politics from you. Just know we, the American people see through it. There will be consequences for it in 2022.

Lol keep thinking that. I know exactly what it is. I’ve even posted the article of which the professor used in my class on these boards years ago. The precise reason for CRT the peer reviewed journal entry proclaims (written by the professor herself Marilyn Byrd) is to rail against “whiteness”. Not my words, just right there in print. She even goes on to talk about how it comes from intersectionality (which all of this is based on in conjunction with underlying Marxism/post modernism). Alas, of course you think you know it all, Mr. knowitall. How very presumptuous of you.

…don’t get me started on the joke that peer review has become in all this wokeness nonsense. Nonsense that will lose the majority of seats for the Dems in both chambers. So keep it up, Americans are watching!

Being in Virginia, it’s pretty scary what all this fake posturing has led to.

We have people burning books - https://www.businessinsider.com/virginia-school-board-members-call-for-books-to-be-burned-2021-11

We have a hotline to call to tell people if what is being taught doesn’t fit the Republican idea of education - https://www.wsj.com/articles/new-virginia-hotline-lets-parents-report-divisive-teaching-practices-11643236044

Critical Race Theory: the ‘Banning Books’ Narrative Is a Red Herring

By Jeff Charles

The Critical Race Theory (CRT) debate has taken a new turn, with progressives employing a new tactic to defend teachers using concepts from the theory and other forms of wokeism in their classrooms.

First, they attempted to gaslight the nation into believing that problematic material was not being taught to students.

Then, they tried deceptively claiming that CRT is just about teaching accurate history.

But now, even though some are still using the first two tactics, another one has emerged.

State Legislators Are Mounting A Stand Against “Critical Theory’s Long March”

Andrew Sullivan: “If the left has stealthily changed public education from above, the right has now used the only power they have to fight back — political clout in state legislatures.”

The "right" side of history..............

Critical Race Theory Is Dividing Democrats—and Rallying Republicans
ERIC KAUFMANN

Those of us worried about the corrosive effects of cancel culture and critical race theory are often accused of obsessing over the culture wars at the expense of "real" issues. But new data suggests that. the culture war is only going to rise in importance in future elections—to the benefit of Republicans. This is the gist of survey results contained in my new Manhattan Institute report, The Politics of the Culture Wars in Contemporary America.

Already, cancel culture and applied critical race theory (CRT) are leading priorities for Republican voters and a mid-ranking issue overall—in large part because they unite conservatives while dividing the Left; on one side you have cultural liberals, those who espouse classical liberal views about free speech, due process, equal treatment before the law and elsewhere and the scientific method. On the other is a rising cohort of cultural socialists, who prioritize protecting disadvantaged groups from offense while redistributing self-esteem and power. These aims are used to justify restricting people's freedom of speech and conscience.

Cultural socialism grows out of wokeness, the idea that historically marginalized race and gender minorities are sacred: more spiritual, moral, fragile and helpless than members of advantaged groups. And unlike causes advanced by the Left in the past, which pushed for equal rights for Black and gay Americans under the auspices of classical liberalism, cultural socialism is likely to provoke a sustained backlash from cultural liberals. But while the cultural socialists are in the decided minority—there are two cultural liberals for every cultural socialist in America—cultural socialists have a slight advantage among Millennials and Gen-Z. And as these relatively woke generations enter the electorate, they will start to edge out their more moderate elders.

Can we PLEASE get on with Fundamentally Transforming America and save all this calling everyone racist for after the new utopian woke society is installed? After all, massive redistribution is gonna to take a lot more time and energy than most people think. We only have eight or nine years left to move all this money around before the planet melts. 👍

Hispanic Students Were Forced To Learn Critical Race Theory. They Hated It.

Kali Fontanilla discovered that not only was CRT being taught in the classroom—her minority students were failing it.

So… let me understand… the secret liberal agenda of indoctrinating students into this notion that capitalism marginalizes people of color, is….. on a very clear and obvious scale (grading) … is marginalizing people of color? 🤔
