FORCED? By being a tightwad? Pretty sure anyone/everyone will still be able to purchase their preferred wine. Good lord. What is the tariff related increase on your favorite? Is that not the point of these tariffs?
The Frankish Reich Posted Monday at 06:30 PM Posted Monday at 06:30 PM There's a larger point about freedom. Freedom to buy what the hell I want from whatever country produces it. I want case of Bordeaux? Dammit, let me buy the case of Bordeaux from the only place that by definition makes Bordeaux wine without incurring a ridiculous 15% sales tax on top of whatever my state charges.

At this point I have to wonder whether a quick trip to Bordeaux to personally carry back my duty-free allowance would be more cost effective. I'll keep you posted.

You are the one that decided to go the Italian suits, scotch and wine route. It was the most unsympathetic route you could have taken and now you don’t like the pushback. If you want to have a good faith discussion, begin one in good faith. Do you want us to believe that arguing in good faith is something that you regularly engage in? We all know the answer to that so please don’t respond with something disingenuous.
BillsFanNC Posted Monday at 07:59 PM Posted Monday at 07:59 PM (edited) Roundy's rules of good faith debate: Make a ridiculous claim. Get mocked for it. The ridiculous claim is eventually proven to be false. Deny/ignore that the original assertion was ever made. Wash, rinse and repeat in good faith. Edited Monday at 08:16 PM by BillsFanNC 1
