Agree  for injuries could help, but if 50 to 60 passes to Thomas, it will be maybe around 45 to 55 less to the remaining players.

Oh yes he was!

Allen is ahead of Kelly at the same age/experience.

But Kelly was kind of Peyton Manning before there was Peyton Manning - he was that good at reading defenses and absolutely outwitting everything the defense was trying to do. We can expect Allen to keep improving in that area too, and if he does, well, then there really won't be any competition for Bills GOAT.

 

EDIT: 1991 was the Bills peak offensive performance of the Kelly era. Teams scored on average 19.0 points per game.

2020 so far? 24.7 ppg.

It's hard to compare across eras. But for now I can, with a supreme degree of statistical confidence, say:

They're both damn good.
