I just throw out the ends.  Wouldn't it be way better of the just sold the middle parts and used the ends for croutons, bread crumbs, whatever...anything else or something else?  I won't make a sandwich, French toast, grilled cheese, anything with the ends.  Kids don't like them either.

Yes. I am working from home.  Yes. I do make my lunch every day.  And yes. I still need to get a life.

The ends keep the two pieces next to he ends fresher.

How would you like if someone took the top of your head and the bottom of your feet and just threw it away. I can also tell you were never poor if you are throwing the ends out.

What?  This far in and no: "It's the best thing since sliced bread!"

Correct me if I am wrong and why is sliced bread the "best thing"? Can't people just take off a slice as they need it?

Depends--are we talking with a butter knife that prolly smushes the piece down before it can actually finish the slice? If so, then whoa, sliced bread is quite a game changer. :worthy:

George Carlin did a bit on these sorts of sayings, including "best thing since sliced bread" and also made a joke out of that, suggesting sliced bread wasn't that great.

I miss George.
