Quick Lube Bowl in Detroit would be cheap and easy but not such a great destination. Boca is perfect because I have a condo to use free down there, also easy nonstop flights. Only 16 yards on his last 5 carries.  Edit: Back to gashing them. suorangefan4 Posted November 29, 2019 Share Posted November 29, 2019 (edited) So barring a huge meltdown we're going to finish 7-5 with most likely a bowl game (don't screw us again please).  I'll take it but man we could've been 10-2 easily if not for some questionable officiating in the Miami and Kent State (2 quick whistles on fumbles screwed us bad. Also didn't like that blindside block call that took a TD away from us. They got away with a much bigger personal foul too). We still should've beaten Kent State despite those refs but that 4th quarter we melted down. And then the Ohio game which we blew. So close to being a special season but still a good one.  It's early but looking ahead to next year we return 8 starters on offense (we lose three starting O-linemen though) and 8 starters on defense. Â In the USA the 118 or so "Division 1" colleges with football teams have a challenge game if you finish with a tied or winning record. You get matched with a team that is more or less equal to you. Companies sponsor them. Â This game is the first of 42 games to be played from now till early January. (The closer to New Year's the more prestigious the game with the best teams.) Buffalo and Charlotte are two schools that haven't had football that long. Still it's a nice honor, and while this game is pretty low on the pecking order, for these kids and coaches it's a free Bahamas vacation. Not a bad deal. There is a practice squad cornerback, Cam Lewis, from UB.  The running back, Patterson, reminds me of Singletary. But he's two years from the draft.  I would definitely bring Ladarius Mack in as a UDFA. He hasn't had the college career of his famous brother but he shows flashes.
