I wonder if we will need to have three tight ends out there to make defenses believe that we have receivers that can get open and catch the ball. He wasn't brilliant at anything, but there one little thing he could quite well, "CATCH THE BALL!" It appears that's an important skill for Wide Receivers in the NFL. cage Posted September 24, 2018 Share Posted September 24, 2018 I am stunned as to what has happened with KB. He had always been a reliable if not dynamic receiver in Carolina. He opened the preseason against the Panthers on fire. Then it starting happening right back in Preseason game #2. AJ McCarron's first pass (very first play) hit him in the hands for what would have been a 20+yd gain. He dropped it. Same with Allen's start on his first pass in Preseason game #3. I feel Reilly would do more than KB, Zay or Foster. Only receivers I would be excited about - Ray Ray, Croom and Reilly.
