As as a side note I love the hipster attitude of “Amazon is driving up housing costs!” Amazon hasn’t even made a selection on HQ2 and people in Atlanta are already freaking out. The beauty of it all is that these are the same douchebags that had no problem displacing poorer folks who occupied their trendy neighborhoods prior to them, but as soon as a bigger fish shows up in the pond the wailing begins. Now NK is one of the poorest countries in the world and SK is one of the wealthiest. Venezuela was the richest country in South America before converting to socialism in 1999. Now they're the poorest. Western Europe started out with immense wealth, but having converted to socialism in the mid 20th century, they're depleting their wealth, though they had so much to begin with, they still have a ways to go before it's all gone. China was poor and backward in 1945 but allowed capitalism in the 80's and now they're on course to be the world's biggest economy. The USSR started out poor, never converted to capitalism, and stayed poor until dissolved and reverted to being Russia.
