Political reporters are the easiest marks of all time, part 3,381 Squee! Journalists certain Sen. Jeff Flake’s ‘blistering’ speech will end up in the history books

CNN senior diplomatic correspondent Michelle Kosinski called Flake’s speech “absolutely blistering,” and CNN’s Mark Preston tweeted that it would go down as “one of the most historic” ever given on the floor of the House or Senate.

Uhhhh..............no it won't.

Another career politician broken by trump. Now all we need is for McCain to die and Arizona will be purged.

You must be happy. You can look forward to picking up forty or so bigot Senators in the next six years or so. The polluting of our politics is only starting

And Russia knows they can help screw our Republc up by helping the bigots go go go

Chris Tingle also called the speech "historical". Um, no.

Revisit this in 6 weeks. Ask anybody you know/run into about this Flake speech. Observe blank stare.

Historical Senate Speech? No. This is a historical Senate speech.

HIstorical means that the emo twink liked the speech.

That's all that matters, he liked it, therefore it's one of the greatest moments of history.

Ya' gotta wonder about two Senators who bemoan the passing of the status quo in DC. Trump isn't my idea of efficiency and effectiveness, but he sure isn't in the Good Ol' Boys Club either.

The Senators overrate their popularity and importance, a level that most mortals can never dream of inventing.

We must never regard as “normal” the regular and casual undermining of our democratic norms and ideals. We must never meekly accept the daily sundering of our country — the personal attacks, the threats against principles, freedoms, and institutions; the flagrant disregard for truth or decency, the reckless provocations, most often for the pettiest and most personal reasons, reasons having nothing whatsoever to do with the fortunes of the people that we have all been elected to serve.

None of these appalling features of our current politics should ever be regarded as normal.
