2011 draft

Recommended Posts

LOL--I remember SJBF (wish that dude would come back) and I pounding the table for Watt over Dareus (not that we didn't like Dareus; just preferred Watt).

Crazy the way that draft class turned out

SJBF was the best. we butted heads a little early on about Bruce Irvin, but later became pretty consistent with our opinions. What happened to him?! Miss him

More precisely he went to play with the Phish, discovered Ricky Incognito's Locker Room was exactly opposite of what he was looking for and never played again. If it had been a different type of locker room maybe he would have stayed and found some way to make his two interests work together.

Interesting comment by Eggles fan who mentions how Chip Kelly turned around franchise Reid has lost. This IS SO MUCH like the fans who egged Santa Claus.

Then Kelly lost it, he was fired and management brought back a Reid disciple.

Chip Kelly comes in and wins 10 games pretty much with Reid's core group that won 4 games the year before. Shows the players gave up on Reid, likely because the front office had lost faith in him as well. Made some poor to questionable draft choices, but Watkins was the final straw. The fans did not can Andy Reid, Jeff Lurie did. And Watkins was core to that happening.

I forget the Eagles took Danny Watkins in the first round

definitely overrated him. He was good in college because he was much older than the kids he was going against.

Watching these just enforces what a crap shoot it mostly is and how little the experts really know. It's funny to watch them sit there and give testimony on a guy who ends up being a bust yet these guys were fawning over them.

Justin Gilbert...the prototype corner in today's NFL...Mayock. Not your best Mike, to be sure
