But most people still want to believe it's the scheme to blame. Okay. Its the same guys that manned the fourth best D in the league last year and averaged over 3 sacks/game for 2 years. The only difference is coach and scheme so yeah.. There is clearly a mismatch between the new scheme and the personnel. It is utter bullsh*t to blame the precipitous drop in performance of this D on an injury to a marginal NFL player like Ty Powell or losing Dolores Searcy in FA. Schwartz D put the playmaking responsibilities on the DL and away from LB's and safeties. If those LB's and safeties are being exposed as less than pro bowl talent this year there is only Rex to blame for changing the emphasis of the D. You can take the fall if you want someone to blame. Start a petition to blame you and offer to show up in game 16 and let people throw tomatoes at you to get the irrationality out.
