PAUL BEDARD: Immigration top 2020 issue, 3-to-1 over healthcare, illegals ‘affect my life.’

Illegal immigration has forcefully moved to the top issue in the 2020 election, with Americans declaring that it impacts their lives and that they believe migrants are abusing social welfare programs once they get into the nation.

According to a series of polls released today by Heritage Action for America, immigration was cited as the top concern of Americans, at 21%. By comparison, just 7% cited healthcare.

What’s more, 54% said illegal immigration impacts their lives.

I’m pretty sure we’ll be hearing more about it. The Dems’ problem is that their core constituency — the Woke White People — doesn’t really believe in borders,

but a lot of their actual voters feel differently.

And that’s the problem with letting everyone in so easily. They have a sense of entitlement, and don’t want to assimilate. If it continues unabated , pretty soon you don’t have a country anymore. This is something that should concern all native born Americans, not just Trump supporters. It’s a real threat, as today’s immigrants are not the same as our great grandparents were.

Anytime something is handed out for free it instantly becomes less valuable than something that is worked for and earned.

About a million people immigrate and become lawful residents here each year legally. Close to 3x more became than enter illegally.

And the illegal immigrant population is declining here.

I assumed you were talking about the majority of immigrants, who I guess you welcome wholeheartedly then. Which is good, because there are 45 million of them and they make up about the same % of our population as they did when your great grandparents arrived.

I’ll accept your statistics and yes I’m fine with as long as people are entering legally. But I’m guessing you don’t live in California. We’re drowning in illegal immigrants here.

Sen. Graham Pushes Through Asylum Bill After Waiving Committee Rules

Senate Judiciary Committee chairman Lindsey Graham pushed through his asylum bill by waiving committee rules. The legislation narrowly moved out of committee Thursday in a 12-to-10 vote, which means it can now be taken up by the full Senate for consideration.

Graham’s decision allowed Republicans to act alone in making the bill eligible for Thursday’s vote after Democrats skipped last week’s business meeting on the bill. The South Carolina lawmaker defended his actions by saying “the Judiciary Committee can’t be a place where nothing happens.”

His asylum proposal would increase the number of days migrant children can be held in custody, and it would require asylum seekers to file their claims from outside the U.S.

The Lutherans step up! Not all Evangelicals have been indoctrinated away from the loving message of Christ by the fascists!

Nice try. Christ was indeed in favor of helping the poor. But he was NOT in favor of promoting lawlessness. Go back and read the book. We’ll wait.

If anybody was a globalist, it was Jesus. Good for the Lutherans. Would you jail them for this? It's against the law, should the church leaders and participants go to jail?

And Jesus would like a president who obstructed justice, right? Oh, you are programed to believe that is fake new, sorry, forgot.

Farm and meat packing jobs are hard to fill if not for foreign labor. Good workers should be allowed and given work permits if they don't have one.

Who says they're not? We're dealing with people who have broken our laws and entered our country illegally and then force us to play Hide and Seek with them. Do you actually think we wouldn't let enough people into the U.S. legally to fill these jobs?

You are correct , the problem always has been the border is not secured in order to do this right.

Man Who Slammed Trump for ‘Racist’ Immigration Policies Killed by Illegal Immigrant

A man who criticized President Donald Trump’s immigration policies in the name of progressive Christianity was killed last week by an undocumented immigrant who avoided deportation by hiding in a local “sanctuary church.”

Sean Buchanan, a father of five from Colorado Springs, was driving his motorcycle on Highway 83 when Miguel Ramirez Valiente swerved into his lane and killed him. The immigrant was charged with reckless driving with a revoked license.

Ramirez Valiente received national media coverage in January when he sought sanctuary in All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church in Buchanan’s hometown. Speaking from the pulpit, he told assembled reporters that he had fled gang violence in El Salvador in 2005. He said he wanted to stay in the United States to care for his wife and three children even though his asylum application was denied.

In a sympathetic report at the time, CNN said Ramirez Valiente was one of about 50 immigrants who had tried to avoid U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in a church.

However, when he killed Buchanan, Ramirez Valiente was driving with a suspended license thanks to a 2018 DUI. He was also arrested for reckless endangerment in 2011 and domestic violence in 2016. A district attorney dismissed both charges.

You really need to read the book dude! Jesus wouldn’t and doesn’t care what the President did or does except for how it impacts the President’s personal relationship with God the Father. Jesus was neither a globalist or a nationalist. He did not profess any political views. If you’ve been around since before the earth was formed would spend a lot of time worrying about fleeting ideas like Russian collusion? No....you wouldn’t! And, He doesn’t. Like most earth centered liberals you’re thinking way too small.
