Refugee Crisis in the U. S. (?)

Just to make things clear, Obama deported more illegals than Trump because he could. We can only immediately send illegal aliens back to their own country if they are from Mexico or Canada. We haven't been able to send illegals back to such countries as El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras because of that loophole. The vast majority of border crossings are now from countries other than Mexico. That ratio was much different during Obama's presidency and thus deportations were more numerous because the amount of illegal aliens being caught at the border were slanted more heavily in Mexico's favor. We are now receiving a much higher proportion of Central Americans and others that are not Mexican and are presently prohibited from immediately deporting them, but must keep them here in country until their court hearings.

He didn't open concentration camps, Trump did. And lies about it, of course.

I realize you won't understand this:

So what you are saying is that we would have only had a little under 100,000 illegal aliens invade our country in May if this policy would have been in place then?

No, it's that we still have a large problem, despite beginning to cut into it. More efforts are needed.

1) The House and Senate this week plan to consider similar but different supplemental spending bills this week to address the crisis at the border. Fox is told that these plans lie outside the lines of fixing immigration and asylum claims.

2) President Trump this weekend called off ICE raids at the behest of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). While these spending packages may help address the humanitarian concerns at the border, the legislation from both bodies does not touch actual immigration policy.

3) Multiple sources tell Fox they aren’t sure how or if Congress could address the President’s requests over the next two weeks. Congress is supposed to be away for the July 4th recess. Fox is told nothing will be built into these spending bills to address the asylum issues.

He forgot 4 <_<

5) These are “supplemental” spending bills. They are additional measures compared to the 12 annual appropriations bills Congress moves each year to fund gov't This supplemental for the border would be the “14th” bill of this spending cycle. The disaster pkg was the "13th"

6) The Senate package is bipartisan. The House bill is penned by Democrats and so far has little bipartisan support. In fact liberal House Democrats oppose the package. Both plans cost $4.5 billion. The Hse bill does not include some “defense” funding. The Senate measure does.

7) The House plans to go to the Rules Committee tonight to prep its measure for the floor midweek. The Senate has not yet figured out a time agreement to consider the measure.

8 ) A senior source told Fox that “agencies run out of money by the end of the month.” Even if the House and Senate approve these bills this week, no one is clear how lawmakers blend the varying bills into one measure.
“This is a very good question,” said one source.

9) Expect some Dem defections from the House bill. The President’s threat to conduct ICE raids over the weekend inflames liberal and progressive Democrats. “There is a high-level of distrust in the administration,” said one source. Some Dems don't want to give any $ to ICE/CBP

The prevailing logic among progressives is "We're not going to fund concentration camps."  Given that the worst conditions in the refugee camps is caused by underfunding, it is a seriously irresponsible attitude.  Even malicious.

Thank you, AOC, for your measurable contribution to this unholy mess.  You B word.

And the democrats will continue to scream conditions are inhumane because "Trump", and their lackeys in the MSM will go repeat that as gospel..

Conditions at migrant detention centers are ‘horrendous’

A 15-year-old mother whose baby was covered in mucus. A 4-year-old with hair so matted it may need to be cut off. A 2-year-old without a diaper. “We were just horrified,” said an attorney who visited the facility in Clint, Tex.

Trump created the situation, Trump did it to punish them, to make it so they would not come. It's an official policy of cruelty to discourage migrants. Who should people blame?

You are more upset that Trump is getting criticized than anything else in the world.

The "Enemy of the people" save the children

More than 300 children are being relocated from a remote Border Patrol station in Texas following an Associated Press reporthighlighting poor conditions at the facility. The government has moved most children out of the facility, which is near El Paso and was operating over capacity, and now only 30 children remain. The AP’s previous report said children as young as 10- to 15-years-old were taking care of toddlers and that there was inadequate food, water, and sanitation services. U.S. Rep. Veronica Escobar (D-TX) said some kids were sent to a different facility in El Paso, but it is unclear where all of them have been moved to.
