Refugee Crisis in the U. S. (?)

Remember right after President Donald Trump was inaugurated and mobs of protesters packed JFK International in New York and other airports to protest the new administration’s so-called “Muslim ban?” Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was quick to welcome any and all refugees to head just a little bit further north.

To those fleeing persecution, terror & war, Canadians will welcome you, regardless of your faith. Diversity is our strength #WelcomeToCanada

More refugees than Trudeau likely imagined took him up on the offer. In yesterday’s Vancouver Sun, however, there was an interesting piece claiming that Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, formerly just the Immigration Department, hadn’t followed up in two years with a report on some 50,000 Syrian refugees in the country.

Columnist Douglas Todd reports:

… after more than two weeks of inquiries by Postmedia, a media relations officer acknowledged the department has not produced any report in almost two years on the about 50,000 Syrian refugees now in Canada.

Canada’s auditor general is among the unamused. The Liberals had a plan to monitor whether the mostly Arabic-speaking refugees were learning English or French, working, receiving social assistance and going to school, but the government has failed to follow through, said auditor general Michael Ferguson. It is Ottawa’s responsibility, he said, to make sure Syrians refugees “integrate into Canadian society.”

“Integrate into Canadian society?” That sounds vaguely racist to us. What happened to celebrating diversity?

DC-based Federal Judge Orders Trump to Restart an Obama program (DACA) created by EO.

I'm pretty sure that's not the way it works.

But hey...maybe the judge has a pen and a phone.

The Administration will (rightly) reject and refuse the order, and the Court will conclusively strike down the opinion with firm language once Kavannaugh has been confirmed.

But the judge gets 15 minutes of far-left attaboys and a guest column at HuffPo, so it's not a total loss.

Here's the Duke memo the court says doesn't establish sufficient legal grounds (FYI, the legal grounds are "The Fifth Circuit Court says it has constitutional issues.")

Also important to note that every legal filing and decision refers to DACA - appropriately - as an exercise in prosecutorial discretion.  These decisions effectively say that the current administration does not have the same discretion as previous administrations.  Which is an alarming level of bull ****.

And what's more - and I particularly like this - DACA, form I-821D and related procedures, is derived from Temporary Protected Status form I-821.  This was done in order to expedite the rollout of DACA - just copy over the most applicable forms and processes.  What it ultimately means, though, is that DACA is a United States government program that grants refuge in the United States to people claiming refuge from the United States.  Only the Obama Administration could conceive of a program that !@#$ed up.

THEY TOLD ME IF TRUMP WERE ELECTED WE’D SEE ANTI-IMMIGRANT RIOTS. THEY DIDN’T TELL ME THEY’D BE STAGED BY BLACK PEOPLE IN BROOKLYN:

Protesters in Brooklyn — some chanting “where is ICE?” — besieged a second nail salon Monday that they believe is connected to the shop where customers brawled on video with employees last week — forcing cops to escort the workers out for their own safety.

About 150 predominantly African-American demonstrators marched from New Red Apple Nails at 1426 Nostrand Ave. — scene of the melee caught on tape Friday — to the Beautiful Red Apple Nails at 1224 Nostrand Ave. and trapped four employees inside. . . .

Demonstrators angrily chanted, “shut them down,” “f–k the police” and “no nails, no toes, these racist shops have got to go.” At least one protester screamed, “where is ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement)?” implying that the salon’s Asian employees might be undocumented immigrants.

Cops formed a line to hurry the employees, three women and one man, into a police van.

Shortly after the workers were driven away, several protesters and cops shoved each other but there were no immediate arrests.

Hours earlier, officers had to do the same thing back at 1426 Nostrand Ave. and helped employees get through protesters to safety.

“Where is ICE?” Surely that’s racist or something.

While reading this try and keep in mind that proponents of sanctuary cities often defend their policies by saying they actually help keep cities safer. However, it must be asked: Safer for WHOM? Fox News’ Brit Hume shared another tragic story that is a direct result of progressive sanctuary city policies:

Congratulations, Philadelphia.

And that’s from Philadelphia, where you might remember last June the mayor did a “happy dance” after a judge ruled in favor of his sanctuary city policies:

it's that minorities can never be racist.

But they can be and are BIGOTS, and that's the correct way to address them.

"Racist" implies a "looking down at them" attitude that the PC Left argues can't apply to those who are already "down."

Don't play their game.  Use BIGOT and watch them squirm as they can't resort to the standard PC nonsense that applies when a non-black calls a black "racist."

That picture made me do a double-take.  My first thought was "I didn't know Trump was allergic to bee stings.  Wait...he's not orange - olhhhhhhhh...."

That explains SO much about Trump and Melania's relationship.
