The media favorites IMO would be the NYETS.

We'll see shortly very soon as the game is tomorrow night!!!

CBS and Cortana in. CBS split down the middle with 4 picking us and 4 the Jets. Anyone care to guess who Prisco picked?

Do you really need to ask. I'd bet $100 he picks the NYETS

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/features/writers/prisco/picks (Pete's pick is in)

I WIN, I WIN

Jesters 23 - 17 Bills

This is the return of Rex Ryan to play his former team. You know he would love to beat them -- and then will say so loudly if he does. The Bills impressed against the Dolphins, but this Jets defense is much better than what Miami trotted out. Tyrod Taylor will have some problems getting things going, while the Jets will do enough on offense to win it.

Gotta earn the respect we desire. Jets as a slight favorite at home on a nationally televised game makes sense. That would indicate that the general opinion is that the two teams are considered to be pretty evenly matched. After this game the general public is either going to view the Bills as a likely wild card team or an also-ran.

I suspect the general public already sees the Bills as an also-ran. A win maybe changes some minds, and a loss puts also-ran in the minds of most Bills fans too I suspect.

I agree with that. The Bills will be seen as an also-ran until they change that perception. Thursday is a chance for a good start toward that.

is it really that hard to believe that now that we are mostly healthy we could beat the Jets handily and then with a long rest sneak out a win vs the Pats? at that point we would be the fav for the wildcard. and let's not forget, the 5th place team in the AFC will probably play against the winner of the AFC South which will be either the Colts or the Texans!

It all depends on the defense - they still give up too many yards and become a bend-but-don't-break defense. If they can't get pressure on Fitz, I think they're in trouble.

The offense will be interesting...I don't know what to expect in the passing game, since they'll bottle up Sammy and we'll have to rely on Woods, Clay, & Hogan. The Jets will figure out a way to keep Tyrod in the pocket and not get loose, so the running game has to be effective and the receivers have to get open. Perhaps a lot of short WC-style passes?
