Allowing them to convert after getting that play overturned would have basically given the Colts back the yards they lost on the challenge, and wasted it. If you get both right, they give you a third. You can't challenge all the bad calls. You have to use them on big plays. If the incomplete had been 3rd down, absolutely use the challenge.
