After Bills claim Marcus Thigpen, what's next for Marquise Goodwin?

It's been a tough week for Marquise Goodwin.

First, the Buffalo Bills wide receiver was a healthy scratch for Monday night's 38-3 win over the New York Jets. Now, the Bills have found another return man.

The Bills claimed Marcus Thigpen, a return specialist, off waivers Wednesday from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While he has limited experience as a wide receiver and running back, Thigpen made his mark returning kicks and punts for the Miami Dolphins in 2012 and 2013.

So are we now off the boat for both Goodwin and Williams leaving sammy, bob woods and hogan as our 3 true receivers (assuming Easley and this guy end up active)?

If so we've used 2 firsts, a second, a third, a fourth, and a sixth in the last 18 months and another third the year before and may only have two guys active Sunday to show for it? (And all the guys are healthy)

why would i want to remember?

Now thats good wit right there

Does this mean Wynn will be healthy enough to play? I don't remember seeing Bryan Johnson get too many snaps, but it seems risky going into a game with only 3 ends.

Have not seen the latest on DE Wynn.

Can always move Dareus outside the guard and run 3-4 hybrid right ?

Colts IIRC.

@BenVolin

Marcus Thigpen doing an AFC East tour this year. Started with #Dolphins, a few weeks with #Patriots, now claimed by #Bills

D Crosman will make him a star. Actually its possible lol.

I don't want Woods back there returning anything .

Maybe Watkins could get back there ? sure would get the oppositions making adjustments for KO

Where is Cribbs now? Did he just sign recently?

Colts IIRC.

Josh Cribbs on his debut: 'I still wasn't even at my best'

I walked up to Josh Cribbs at his locker after Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars and asked the Indianapolis Colts' return specialist if he planned to have Josh Gordy buy him dinner after his penalty cost Cribbs an 82-yard touchdown on a punt return in the third quarter.

“Nah, no need for that,” Cribbs said. “It was good to be back out there."

Really, EVERY game. "Exaggeration is a tool of those unarmed in a battle of wits" is what my debate team instructor taught me.

i used to go to bat for goodwin, but its been rough this year. the guy has more injuries than catches.

he has 7 total touches this year (including returns, catches, and carries) and has left 3(?) of his 5 games early

As much as Goodwin has the potential to be an outstanding football player, it's rendered irrelevant because he simply cannot remain healthy enough to stay on the field. Availability, or lack thereof in his particular case, is a major impediment to his development and contribution to the team. The name Glass Goodwin is unfortunately well deserved at this juncture and it seems the coaches don't trust him enough to put him in the lineup with his demonstrated lack of durability. It's a shame, especially since he seems like such a well intentioned and goodhearted guy.
