Coming to Buffalo, looking for advice

You guys rock. I will make sure and hit up Duffs in Orchard park. Is it just a wing joint or a bar where we could hang for a bit?

Jacked for the tailgating, I hear it's the closest to Lambeau in the league. Think we will hit up Hammers.

Thinking we will stay downtown Buffalo for hotel. Is there one strip I should be aware of where we should stay that is near the majority of the bars?

Chippewa.

It's much safer now that marshawn lynch is gone.

Duffs Orchard Park is a large sports bar and wing joint with hot chicks waiting tables and bartending. Chippewa Street, Allen St. and Elmwood Ave are your best bets for bars and nightlife unless there is a Sabres home game, then down by the arena might be a good option. Also, if you guys like to gamble, there is a casino in downtown Buffalo by the hockey arena and one in Niagara Falls, NY, two in Niagara Falls Canada. The Canadian Ballet has already be covered, but if you dont have passports, there are three decent strip clubs by the Buffalo airport if strippers are your thing.

Ok I'm a little slow! Sorry, doing this while setting up plans with my buddies.

So do you guys do anything unique to the Bills in the stadium? (Cheers, traditions). This is our 12th stadium, hope to see all someday, but Buffalo was on my short list of tops to visit.

Book at least half your nights in NF Ontario, Sabre game if they are in town, stay Embassy Suites in Downtown Buffalo night before and game day. 20 minute ride to stadium, walking distance to all the trouble in downtown

This is a good roadmap. I'd add in check out Gabriels Gate for wings, Blue Monk on Elmwood for beers, Buffalo also has a full blown casino now too. I'm getting envy as I type this out. Have a blast!

The tailgating is fantastic at the beginning of the year when there's still hope. Unfortunately we haven't made the playoffs since the 90s and you are coming in week 15, so odds are the stadium is going to be half empty. If by some miracle we are gunning for a playoff spot in week 15, you will see a absolute circus.

I thought this as well but didn't wanna ruin it for him.

our longest running and most revered tradition is the team not making the playoffs and us getting black-out drunk to numb the pain.

Does booing your own team count as a tradition?

Coming from GB to Buffalo in December will feel like a heat wave, bring your golf clubs.

Mighty Taco, Ted's Hot Dogs, any bar that serves Beef 'n Weck, great pizza at non-national chains, Canadian strip clubs (I love when the girls say "do you want a lap dance and a blowjob" with that Canadian accent), Canadian Casinos, might as well check out the Falls its best from the Canadian side, find a Canadian beer outlet and check out the varieties of Canadian beer not sold in the US. You can bring 2 cases per person back with you. Get a Cuban cigar or two, its easy to bring a few across the border.

MAKE SURE you go to CLUB MARCELLA .its a PACKERS BAR.

Now that's funny!

Anyway, OP, I'm around your age. Here's a summary for you.

Strip Club / Casinos - Canadian Side of Niagara Falls

Night Club type joints - Chippewa Street - Walking distance from Downtown Hotels

More chill bars with lots of live music, friendlier people, fewer meathead doucebags - Allen Street area or Elmwood Area (which are pretty close to each other) has smaller bars (a step above hole in the wall type joints) that I enjoy much more than Chippewa these days. Short cab ride from Downtown (5-10 mins) and there are a few hotels around here too. I'd stay here if I were an out of towner, but that's just me.

Wings - don't fall for the Anchor Bar crap, they suck. Duffs is where it's at and you can spend hours there drinking and watching sports as well.

Hockey - Sabres games are great even when we suck. There are bars around the arena too that are not bad on game nights.

As other's have noted, do NOT, I repeat, do NOT stay near the stadium, you'll be disappointed. Stay near one of the bar districts, you'll be able to stumble home without a cab and there are plenty of damn good places to eat as well.

Besides wings, local favorites also include Ted's Hot Dogs (the name of a place), Beef on Weck (a type of sandwich served at a ton of places), Wings obviously, and there are some great pizza places too depending on where you stay (definitely go local over national chains). If you're looking to drop some cash and want steak Buffalo Chop House is where it's at. It's a nice place and pretty expensive but damn good.

Have fun.

I do a trip every year. 20 to 30 guys, none from Buffalo. Friday golf Niagara Fall Ont (Legends of the Niagara) dinner at the Keg (embassy suites) Casino and or Sundowner. the downer is highly recommended. Saturday afternoon Anchor Bar then Chippewa Street Saturday night. Tons of great bars. Allentown also works. Sunday leave early, and hit the stadium lots. If you can go to the Hammer Lot (Pinto Ron's tailgate)_. Ranked the best in the NFL. Where home or neutral colors for this TG ;) Have fun, there is nothing like Buffalo. NOTHING
