At least put a transition tag on the guy. The Raiders must be crazy if they think they can re-sign him when other NFL teams will be gunning for him with huge offers.

My hope is that in FA, we get a proven, road-grading veteran right offensive tackle and avoid having to use a high draft pick for that position. Second and third are a left guard and a two-down, run stuffing MLB. If we get these then we can trade down a little in the draft and use the first two rounds for tight end, and defensive backs, and for the 3rd (2 picks?) and 4th go after fast linebacker and offensive linemen. Not sexy, but the team immediately gets upgraded at 5 positions.

The Raiders do have an advantage with an insane amount of cap room at $65 million.

Seattle is favorite to land DE Michael Bennett, who some regard as the top free agent available. Announcement could come as early as today.

Chargers announced they re-signed G Chad Rinehart; SD also did not tender former Michigan G Stephen Schilling, who now will be a UFA.

Reinhold gone
