That's true, that's why they hire people who are experts. The Republicans just st don't care, they dont want to make health care affordable, accessable or better. They just want to save their wealthy donors money.

lol.  Mandating a private product to the population, with state subsidies to ensure profitability, and  a tax penalty to ensure compliance.  Seemed to only benefit the industry, and did nothing to improve health care cost, or the amount covered by insurance.

we have more uninsured now, then in 2010.  people are still avoiding doctors, due to the out of pocket cost associated with using said insurance.

Chief Justice Roberts-Souter showed his true colours on that one.

That shows we need to go forward with more health care reform. The GOP just wants to burn the system down. Such a winning issue for Democrats. You guys--the Trump base--have really boxed the GOP in! Thank you!

So the winning issue for dems, is to champion what is not working. or one of the biggest failures of the last admin?  and just pray people have short memories.

And by more, you mean more privatization and mandates?

But the thing is, it is working. Millions and millions now have health insurance that did not before. And more means more access to care, unlike how red states are denying their citizens that access.

Democrats are talking about health care. Republicans are going to the courts literally to take away that care, cough cough, I mean insurance, wink wink

You are not going to get a coherent answer out of that one.

in 2010, 29 million without insurance, today its 44 million.

health insurance isn't health care, as proven by the fact people are avoiding the doctors.

So how is it working?

it's a perfectly rational decision to not pay for health insurance that one does not need

Quote

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) led to historic gains in health insurance coverage by extending Medicaid coverage to many low-income individuals and providing Marketplace subsidies for individuals below 400% of poverty. The number of uninsured nonelderly Americans decreased from over 44 million in 2013 (the year before the major coverage provisions went into effect) to just below 27 million in 2016. However, in 2017, the number of uninsured people increased by nearly 700,000 people, the first increase since implementation of the ACA. Ongoing efforts to alter the ACA or to make receipt of Medicaid contingent on work may further erode coverage gains seen under the ACA. This fact sheet describes how coverage has changed in recent years, examines the characteristics of the uninsured population, and summarizes the access and financial implications of not having coverage.

And yes, costs keep rising, which the Republicans want to make even worse by draining a ton of money out of the system--the wealthy need another tax break--and Democrats are the ones offering solutions while Trump is begging the Supreme Court to butcher the whole thing.

Democrats easily win that argument, even MORE now than in the 2018 mid-terms

So the Cost are rising for the program called the Affordable Care act. what was the mandate?  maybe affordability.

and you might want some current data vs your clipped part of an old article.

And they will keep rising. You do understand that heath care costs have been rising faster than inflation for decades, right?

And please, don't try and argue that you are against the ACA because it has not been as effective as you believe it should have been. That's just intellectual dishonesty

Not at all. Your points are factually wrong and intellectually dishonest.

But ok, what would you do to bring health care costs down? My answer is more government.

How dare you!! If you want to reduce costs, the best thing to do is add more bureaucracy. The government is known for being cost-effective. Just look at their history. Oh...wait...

I don't know. I'm feeling a little down on Coach McDermott right now because I thought we should have won the SB last year.

Hey! At least you are not still upset that the "Family Values" crowd isn't being called hypocrites anymore!

You're missing his point. With more government control, the government could then run the infanticide business instead of Planned Parenthood.

Lots of money selling the limbs of "products of abortion."

Why, with enough "products of abortion," I'm sure @Tiberius is convinced government-controlled health insurance will pay for itself in two short years!
