Has to play better to provide meaningful leadership he will be in a locker room where guys grew up playing madden as him. even if he doesnt play a snap, he will have the opportunity to be a well respected mentor, potentially. Discuss. it would make little sense on many fronts from both our and his perspective. he wants to go to a team with a playoff shot, i imagine in a city hes spent much time, and is likely done at the close of this year. i dont think there is any reason to believe he would play for any team next year, let alone be an answer for starting free safety. It's been painful watching such a great player struggle like he has this year. It's taking him twice as many steps to cover the same ground and he looks timid on the field. Not his game at all. The Jets have a tenuous grip on a playoff spot right now, and coaching jobs may in fact be on the line for them if they miss it. At best he has a handful of great games left, and that depends on a great many factors, with health and assignments being the big ones.
