I don't think it's nuts to believe that I won't spend the rest of eternity in an actual, literal hot place with flames and an actual embodiment of the devil for having pre-marital sex. Or that Noah actually, literally lived to be over 800 years old and collected two of every species on his boat after making sure he had a male and female of each- including millions of species of tiny insects- before enduring 40 days of rain, which flooded the earth. I can assure you that Tebow believes both these things sure as the sun will rise tomorrow. You can call me nuts. I'm comfortable where I stand. While there are certainly religious overtones to this issue, and there are certainly people who take a stand on Tebow based solely on these religious overtones, his suckatude is pretty undeniable regardless of his faith. Unfortunately, due to his faith, there are those that are blind to his suckatude, and take every insult against his abilities as a personal affront to their religion, as well as those who will take a shot at Tebow for the sole purpose of taking a shot at his religious beliefs, and by extention those who share his beliefs. I am not a religious person. I am cool with live and let live. Aaron Rogers, Drew Brees, hell, even Frank Reich by all accounts are very religious people, and all are infinitely more talented than Tebow in terms of their ability to play QB in the NFL, and yet despite their religious beliefs they are no where near as polarizing. I didn't root for or against Frank Reich because he was a Christian, I rooted for him because he was a Bill. I'm sure, because of his religious beliefs, that there were people who rooted more vigorously for him than what his abilities realistically accounted for, especially because he stood in such stark contrast to Kelly as a person at that time. Admittedly, Tebow is a competitor and was a great college player and has had a few shining moments in the NFL, but the reality based on his body of work is that he is NOT the answer to any team's QB question, as evidenced by the entire league leaving him unemployed. This in a season where nearly a quarter of the teams were scrounging for QBs. Insisting that he is the answer at QB for some team at this stage of the game is not a rational argument. I am not a 'nut', and I am also not an Atheist. I DO think that people who wear/broadcast their religious beliefs like a neon sign are hypocrites. Tebow happens to be one of them. He also just happens to suck as a quarterback. That won't stop the drooling, compartmentalized in the head Christian nutcases from foaming at the mouth because they can't accept what the guy is really about on, and off of the field. Since that time, I've thought his movies, TV show and feeble attempts in the political arena were pathetic.
