Stop on by some time and see how pro-Obama real life Vets really are He's winning Vets! He's up by 8 in Virginia! He only has to focus on a couple states! I know you guys are deep into the Kool-Aid® but seriously dude. I'm starting to wonder if I got a contact buzz or something. Until now I've always thought that Obama would win easily thru the power of incumbancy, a dumbed down electorate, and a weak Republican candidate. My link This comes at a time when voter preference between the two candidates is roughly even. It highlights the ever-present Republican anxiety and unease with the candidate they have. How skewed is this difference in confidence? The poll found that Republicans are twice as likely to believe that Obama will win than Democrats are likely to believe that Romney will win. However yesterday I was a little surprised at one of my non-voting type coworkers. Dude's 30 and never voted once in his life. Neither has his wife but she's also never had a job. As a couple they gladly partake in any Gov't subsidy that they qualify for. They're lifetime on the system. Their kid will be lifetime on the the system and most of their friends and family are lifetime on the system. Anyways, we were joking around about starting our own crime syndicate. We talked about how we'd start buying off or blackmailing the judges and politicians. I made a snarky comment that's really easy to pay off Obama. Dude was like forget Obama, nobody is voting for him this time. Maybe we could buy off the other guy. This is reflected well by the OP . EDIT: I just remembered, he did say that the troops were over there fighting "for him", so maybe the poll results make sense......................lol . It may be an age factor thing, as I seem to recall another article on the Reuters poll describing it as a poll of veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan, which would skew younger, where Obama has more support. He does horribly in the over 60 white male demographic--the guys who were subject to a draft, so that there was a much wider number of vets per general population in that age range. Which reminds me--slightly OT, but I was at the gym today on a treadmill when the President a Panetta were giving their Memorial Day speeches at Arlington. I noticed that I was the only one in the whole place actually watching that those speeches on my mini-TV on the treadmill. Literally all 20 plus other people were watching everything from MTV to HGTV to reality TV drivel, all this while there's a war on. Just odd.... They also love to spend money, strive for the good life. These four years under the far left socialist Obama has been a real eye opener for people who were duped and voted for Mr. Hope and Change. Obama and the MSM wanted everyone to cry for the poor. Pity them. See these Americans as victims of the bad bad system of capitalism. That the wealthier of Americans need to do with less in order to make it more "fair" for the less fortunate. Well this historically idiotic course failed beyond even the harshest critics' imagination. Now, other than the super rich, no one is doing good. The middle class is slipping into the lower class and the lower class is slipping into poverty. This election will be a landslide win for Mitt Romney. No one wants to say it, but I will. Americans want to be great again. They want to work again. They want to spend money again. The only people voting for Obama this time around are minorities, celebrities and union members. That's it. That's fine- I do often find when I ask people to elaborate, they just choose to cite not "worth it", or the simple don't have much to respond with.
