This would be the one I would most agree with. After seeing the latest news coming from OBD this makes me think we keep Dickerson. However, I think Carder might be PS'd. Being that we can match or out offer PS players - I think it is very likely, especially early, to retain some veteran presence on the team should injury occur where we are light and especially young. I'm not sure they pull the plug on Carrington, in this situation, either.

You can match PS players if they get an offer from another team, but it's up to the player if he wants to take your offer or the other team. The player also has to pass through waivers before going on the PS. Carder will not be a PS player.

Missing either Brown or Asper as backup interior o-line depth perhaps

four tes because they need two blocking tes for goalline and dickerson is going to be a catching hback. they could drop mcintyre but they like him for special teams

scott will usually play a te covering lb but could also cover for a safety in a pinch. they need that extra roster spot stolen from s/lb to let them carry nine dlinemen, considering they will play most downs with less than three lbs on the field (or with anderson/merriman lined up like a lb, same thing)

yeah no way carder goes to the ps, he would be gone, which is why they will carry him on the roster

if they decide not to carry a kickoff specialist they might fill that spot with another olineman, but if not then they will rely on the ps system (theirs and other teams) to get a lineman if/when somebody needs to be replaced

i originally had thigpen bumping young because i really think young has shown his limitations are fatal for a starter, but i decided to list him just to show confidence in chan lee working their magic. wouldnt at all be surprised to see young cut in favor of the far more familiar thigpen tho. not that thats a good thing ...

Good point about carrying Scott as an LB. Like you said, they'll be in nickel at least 60% of the time and more against some teams like the Pats.

I still gotta disagree with four TEs though. On goal line they'll probably go with some sort of jumbo package with an extra T. Heck, Gailey likes to spread them out down there, too from time to time.

GO BILLS!!!

yeah i also originally had mcgee off the team but they would be pretty ridiculously green without him. they could easily decide to bump him if they can come up with another veteran corner from cutdowns

again, dickerson is not a real te. he could be listed at hb/fb if you want. hes a specialty player that allows them to run that two catching te/fb formations that are becoming popular. theyll keep mcintyre mostly for special teams

I find it amazing we will have two specialty players on the roster. This is the Buffalo Bills and we have 2 specialty players! 3 if you count Scott.

Also, I would love for the NFL to have 60 man rosters, mandate for special teams designated players like they do for QB's. They want safety, this would increase it and I will beat this drum again and again. 3 positions, kicker, punter, LS, and 3 guys that play only special teams (not including return men or an extra kicker or punter.

Solid pre-preseason roster prediction, Meathead. Right now I'd only replace your 4th TE (Caussin) with a 10th DL (Carrington).

Edwards can play DE, in a pinch. Johnson can play DT, too. Not sure we need 10 to get good rotation out of 4 guys.

A 10th DL is much more valuable to this particular team than a 4th TE. Carrington is also a highly versatile DL guy and a 3rd round draft pick entering his 3rd year in the league. If they insist on only 9 DL, then Edwards or Johnson or an unhealthy Troup are more likely to be cut than Carrington.

No way Carrington doesn't make the team. And its 54 man active roster now I thought.

With a third QB.

Why. Carrington has only 24 tackles and 2 sacks total in 2 season. That production just isn't good enough.

The Bills defense has benn among their worst in their history in the last 2 seasons.

Carrington needs a very good training camp and show at least enough upside, to make the roster.

Lets hope Carrington and Troup both stick, and kelsay is shown thedoor. Pretty please with sugar on top?
