Good Article On The BS That is Obama

Why SHOULD it bother him?

HIS GUY is the one doing it.

So its OK.

It just seems to me that anyone with even the least amount of self-respect would watch him and say "Y'know, you said you weren't going to do this stuff. You said this stuff was wrong. You said you were going to be different. You said you were going to operate at a higher level. And all you've done is take the very actions you've repeatedly said were wrong, and taken them to new depths."

Yeah, I get it. It's been done before. Obama doesn't corner the market on this kind of stupid. But when it's THIS blatantly obvious what a useless idiot he is...no better or worse than the Wasserman-Shultz's and Axelrods of the world...it's just exceedingly embarrassing, and you'd think the first thing any normal supporter would do is stop defending him.

This goes beyond 'it's his guy." Why would anyone want to associate with such idiocy?

It is OUR idiocy, don't you see? The two party system FORCES idiocy, one or the other, the same tired choices of pig dung vs. cow dung. It STILL all smells, and it gets me how the dung is defended just because it has a red color or a blue color...!! :pirate:

Does it not bother you, even in the slightest, that you're politically supporting a person who has been SO bad at his job for the past three years that the only hope he has for re-election is to do things to piss everyone off so they are so busy complaining about his current actions that there's no time to point out how miserable he has been as president?

You shouldn't let politics get in the way of truly accepting the undeniable fact that this is, without question, the most embarrassing POTUS we've had in our lifetime. He brings nothing to the table but derision and petty fights. It's amazing to me that ANYONE would stand by this idiot's side.

It's nice to know this means so little to you. I look forward to you being equally passive when the next Republican president moves forward with recess appointments when there is no actual recess.

Really. What could be the harm, right? <_<

LA..you always get your panties in a wad over politics as usual...the Democrat in office right now isn't doing anything that the last Republican in office didn't do, many more times over, in the same time span. Were you so upset then? Maybe you were...I don't know...but I doubt it. What was the harm then?

That makes sense but it also means Denise spells her name "Dennis". Do you think maybe Buftex is just confused or maybe transitioning?

Oh god, you got me good...and just when I thought you were devoid of a sense of humor!

So you're basically saying, Barry's as bad as the previous guy?

Not really what I meant, but that is how you will interpret it. Which is fine. Though, going that rout, I might argue that Barry is only 1/5 as bad as the previous guy. My point was, LA has this uncontainable outrage anytime Obama does something that raises an eyebrow, and pretends that the president is setting all-time new lows...it is the way things get done, for better or worse. If a president, either party, has a Congress that will not work with him, he will find ways around them...it has been going on for decades... so yeah, if you must, in this regards, current president is no different than the last president.

But his whole selling point was that he is different (not that I bought it either way.

Which is the same thing that happens anytime Bush did something.

But he did have the majority for two years.

I'm learning slowly that part of the problem we have with politics these days is the concept that "politics as usual" is acceptable; that bad behavior is justified by previous bad behavior. You seem to be fine with that (especially rolling out the tiresome "Where was your anger when (fill in the blank) did it!"), and I used to be fine with that, until I realized that it's NOT politics as usual, it just looks that way to those too busy to really notice.

Now that Obama can appoint someone when the Senate is not technically in recess, then so can everyone else. See? What he did was, in fact, NOT politics as usual. It WILL be challenged in court, but by the time it makes its way through courts, two things will happen: first, it will keep the upcoming election from being about Obama's presidency and instead about whatever childish stunt he pulled so he could immediately piss people off and thereby play the victim role again ("They won't let me do it, so I'm doing it on my own! Poor, poor pitiful me. Alas, being president is SO hard!") and second, he will make more such appointments that will never be overturned.

Again, you have no problem with that because it's your guy. And I'm sure when the next Republican president appoints someone while the Senate is not in recess, you'll be okay, especially when he does it to appoint a person to be in charge of some other little aspect of your life that seems trivial at the time.

In the meantime, I'd be a bit more careful with the phrase "politics as usual." As a lazy catchphrase, it has done much to let us get to where we are.

It would be helpful to know what gender you are (or are becoming). You know I hold the rights to the ABC's of Mudgeonry here on this board and when I call you a mudgeon I want to make sure I call you the right one.

You assume that the majority of people who voted for him, or any other candidate for that matter, voted on the issues rather than just their own ungrounded beliefs as to what their political party represents. In order to understand Obama's abject failure you must first know what he was attempting to accomplish.

How many people identify as Dem or Repub based on upbringing (mom and dad were Dem/Repub), profession, friends, whats hip/cool at the time? Some people choose their party based on one talking point like abortion, national defense, gay marriage and couldn't tell you any thing else about their party. And these people are no less fervent in their support than their informed contemporaries.

You are so funny...you asked me where my anger will be when the next Republican president makes such a move (and they will), but then call my asking you where your anger was when the last guy did it "tiresome". You seem to love lashing out at double standards when it comes to the president, but have no problem with them when they are aligned with your political view.

For the record, Obama is "my guy", only because there isn't any better alternative being offered right now. You can throw around the "worst in my lifetime" tag (talk about tiresome, and lazy catchphrases) all you want, but I guess I remember worse. Since we are being drama queens here, I don't recall any president in my lifetime ever facing as much BS, from day one, as the current president. My biggest criticism of Obama is that he tried, for too long to play nice with people who had no interest in working with him. I chalk that up to nietivity on his part.

It's about time you got a right analysis.

Yes, he was naive that introducing European socialist policies would fly in the US. And yet, you wonder why he's faced opposition from day one?
