His spoiled brat behavior was quickly overturned by the league. An example of being a buffoon is hiring Levy who was out of the NFL and in no way equipped for the position he was hired for because he was comfortable with him. Another example of his buffoonery is to replace him in the GM position and head of football operations with a marketing specialist. The owner has a half century worth of foolishness. Just look at the record. I guess I just can't get over the hatred of an old man who has never hurt anyone here. Yes, I know we haven't made the playoffs in 10 years and he has made many bad moves running this team but the childish name calling is ridiculous. I am as frustrated as everyone else. I was diagnosed about 17 years ago, went thru extensive surgery and have had no further incidents. It was very frightening how a little mole or "spot" can lead to death. I truly feel for his family. My condolences, also. That makes 2 of us. Surgery was not extreme thankfully. Godspeed to Kaye and thoughts to the rest of the Cowher family. However, you do have the right to your opinion as I do, as well as every other person. How was Buffalo ever a perfect fit for him? The Bills have a 90+ year old owner that might have eaten his last breakfast today. The Bills haven't sniffed the playoffs in the 21st century. The Bills QB situation is one of the worst in the NFL. The list could go on for days... My condolences to the Cowher family. They are first class in every way. What made Bill the perfect fit is he has the ability and skill to turn the team around. ( sorry, just stating my opinion, please don't blast me for it, I wasn't aware you had to have a Ph. D in profootball to post here) It funny, I haven't been able to find many teams in the NFL that have made the playoff multiple times it the last 10 years, and have a excellent Qb situations, that are looking for a new head coach. Once Lebeau came back and he got a good QB in the draft, Bill was able to put together a wild-card team SB run. Without LeBeau, Bill was another average coach like Marty. The biggest thing I liked about Cowher was that he played tough and was committed to running the ball. Maybe-- hard to look at factors that are not quantifiable. Dom Capers had a better defense the year before LeBeau took over as DC-- but LeBeau was also a defensive assistant on Capers' staff. I just think Cowher, while not a good game-day coach, was a solid football coach who could make a team good based on fundamentals, and irrespective of his staff.
