Anyone that seriously thinks the Bills need to just get rid of Lynch knows nothing about the NFL today.

You need 2 good starting backs today. Do you think Miami fans complain that Williams needs to start over Brown (or vice versa?) Jackson and Lynch both bring 2 different things to the Bills offence. Jackson is more of the speed rusher, he has that burst that gets him around guys, while Lynch is more of the power back thats going to drag defenders for a couple of extra yards. I don't know why Bills fans always have to find something wrong with everything instead of appreciating what they have.

We can only hope.Lynch is not as good as Freddy and has absolutely no business starting in front of Freddie

Lynch does not cut as well as Freddy. He is more explosive, though...and may be a touch faster.

But behind this line, the inability to cut to the hole is a significant drawback. Freddy never should have been benched after Lynch came back.

Fitzpatrick is playing some of the best football of his career and deserves to finish the season. He thinks faster, has better wheels and is proving he's a capable starter when given the chance, he had a great game.

I agree, I love Fred Jackson, always have, but he does have more experience and it shows. Marshawn Lynch is still a pup, he made a big play to help take the lead and we never looked back. ( Mike Shanahan could be licking his chops)

We can't blame Lynch for the rookie O-line.

I didn't think this before today but I agree. Jackson seems to have a better idea of what a rb is supposed to do.

My point is basically, why does one have to be the starter? Why not both, a 1A and 1B?

I didn't notice if he got hurt - but it's been all Freddie today. Fewell seems to have a better eye for the talent on the roster.

Lynch had a bum shoulder.

Freddy played great, but the guy is going to be 29 in a couple of months. Not exactly a long term solution.

Simple answer is No, Lynch his running style depends on the o-line more then freddy does and on those plays Lynch actually is better then Freddy (they are still 2-3 yard plays). Next year when the o-line is all fixed, healthy and matured we'll see a very different Lynch.

I hear you,

Lynch is only going to get better and Jackson also does allot on Special teams.

I'm in the camp that knows you need 2 quality backs to sustain a running game these days and I believe Jackson/Lynch are a serviceable duo - however the fact that Freddy is seeing a lot more playing time with Fewell at the reigns is an indication of what the current staff thinks of each.

that's completely false

Yes, I misread it, it's for this season.

Fitzpatrick tied the game in the second quarter on a 31-yard touchdown jaunt up with right sideline. It's the longest run of his career and more than twice as far as Pro Bowl running back Marshawn Lynch has gone on a single carry this season.
