  1. C.Biscuit sums it up good: "For the sake of argument: In Tom Brady's 2nd season as a starter, he averaged 6.3 yards per pass attempt with 37 completions of 20+ yards and 3 40+ completions. http://www.nfl.com/players/tombrady/...e?id=BRA371156 Edwards, in his 2nd season (in about 12 games), averages 7.4 ypa and has 35 20+ yard and 5 40+ yard completions. http://www.nfl.com/players/trentedwards/ca...ts?id=EDW720778 Edwards is a 2nd year QB not a seasoned vet, so he's going to make some mistakes.
  2. How about holes in the pass rush? I'm not worried about the secondary. This unit is young and will only get better. Before the game, our pass defense was ranked at 11th. If we had a decent pass rush, we'd have a Top 5 pass defense, plus you'd see a lot more INT's from this group.
  3. There are a lot of teams that think Schobel is a very good player and would be willing to trade possibly a 3rd rounder (and maybe another 2nd day draft pick).
  4. The main reason why we don't see the deep ball that much is because every team we play against focuses on Lee Evans. The last few weeks, Josh Reed has been leading the team in receptions & yards. IMO Evans is a 1b receiver (meaning he's better than a #2, but not good enough for a true #1 WR). Evans relies on his speed, when that's gone, he'll probably be another Peerless Price. Maybe Steve Johnson can fill the void and become a legit #2 WR next season? Who knows, but any way you look at it, teams don't fear any of of WR's except for Evans, which is why they double team him & can stack up defenders close. If we had a true #1 WR, you would see more deep passes and also see more yards in the run game, which we saw in 2002 with Moulds, Price & Henry.
  5. With Crowell being placed on IR, the Bills sent him a statement that he is no longer wanted. IMO, I would like to see us try and trade Schobel. Schobel is good against the run, but is an average pass rusher. IMO, he is not worth the $8+ million dollar contract. If we can get a better DE like Peppers or Suggs then I would be willing to part ways (via trade) with Schobel. Either way, we have no pass rush. It would be nice to cut loose Denney & Kelsay and replace them with better DE's. We'll see what the offseason brings. Greer will most likely be gone. I like Youboty, but i'm starting to wonder if his frame can't take the physical pounding of the NFL. McKelvin & Corner did very well yesterday and I can see both of them in the starting lineup next year. IMO, offseason needs: 2 DE's OLB TE C #1 WR
  6. He's a hard hitting safety, plus he made a great play to force a fumble yesterday. Maybe if we had a decent pass rush, we'd see more out of Whitner.
  7. If it weren't for the coaching blunders in the Browns & last Jets game, we'd be 9-6 right now.
  8. Even though Cutler threw for over 300 yards against our secondary, the main stat people should be concerned with is 0 passing TD's allowed, 1 INT (should have been 2 if it wasn't for a bad penalty). All of that with virtually no pass rush.
  9. Before the game, our pass defense was ranked 11th. Imagine how our pass defense would be if we had a decent pass rush?
  10. I agree. Hate to say it, but I hope the Dolphins take the division, that way it stings even more to Ralph Wilson seeing how a proven winner like Parcells can take a 1-15 team to an 11-5 division winning team the next year.
  11. You might be right. I know both guys were making plays, plus they're only 1 number off of each other (27, 28). Either way, complete B.S. call against Stroud since he was being double-teamed.
  12. Jauron & his assistants has costs us many games in his tenure with terrible play calls. Season opener 2006 vs Pats, 1. run play on 4 & 1, instead of kicking a FG. 2. Having Loseman attempt a pass in the endzone that cost us a safety. Season opener 2007 vs the Broncos, trying a deep pass when they should have been trying to run the clock out. MNF vs Dallas, 1. having Edwards attempt a fade pass which got intercepted. 2. Playing prevent defense which let Dallas get into FG range to win the game. The Blizzard game vs the Browns. Not letting Lindell attempt a FG, when in FG range twice, especially since Phil Dawson made 2 FG's (1 over 40 yards). Trying a screen pass to Jackson on 4 & 5. This years Browns game, settling for a 47 yard FG with over 30 seconds left on the clock, instead of trying to get a closer FG and take more time off the clock. Last week vs the Jets, don't even need to mention it. Plus, if you haven't read my thread about Reggie Corner & the Bills failing to realize the talent they have until someone gets injured, then read that as another reason why Jauron & Co. (except Bobby April) should get canned. Finally after a month of it being cold & snowy, Jauron has the Bills practicing outside.
  13. Over 300, would have been less if it wasn't for that B.S. holding call that negated Corner's INT, but the main stat to think about is 0 Passing TD's against our secondary.
  14. Great point about Greer. Greer should of been starting at the beginning of the 07' season.
  15. I agree. IMO, the only coach on this staff that should be retained is Bobby April. The rest should be canned and have coaches that have a better track record than Jauron & Co.
  16. I don't get this coaching staff, last year it took for Anthony Thomas to get injured & Fred Jackson to step in and show that he should of been playing all season long after he had a great pre-season. Now it looks the same with Reggie Corner. He had a very good pre-season and he played great today. He had a fumble recovery, an INT (called back from a terrible holding penalty), plus a couple passes defended including the last play in the end zone. Hopefully we'll see a lot more of Reggie Corner & Steve Johnson next season.
  17. I agree. The only coach I would like to seeback in 09' is Bobby April. The only negatives I have on this game was the officiating, terrible calls/non-calls.
  18. Looking at Stats is good to see where we improved at, but overall, if you're still not having a winning season then you have to start looking at the coaches & management.
  19. Oh yes, Ralph is the greatest owner of any business in history. I will give credit to Ralph bringing a team to Buffalo and keeping it here for all these years, but he's been a terrible owner. The fans have bent over backwards for this guy for decades, but Ralph still cries. Great way to embrace your fans Ralph when he went up to Toronto and bashed how bad Buffalo was compared to Toronto. Firing Polian was his biggest blunder. Gee, let me think, should I keep the GM, the guy who made my 2-14 teams into a Superbowl team and ultimately brings in more money, or keep the guy who just counts my money? Not getting a real GM & head coach is another blunder. Having almost no control of the team for 5 years under Donahoe, yeah that was another good move . I just wish Ralph would sell the team to Jim Kelly's group.
  20. I'm convinced that we could have a caliber team like the 85' Bears or one of the Joe Montana 49ers Superbowl teams and Jauron still would be unable to deliver a Superbowl win, let alone get to the Superbowl.
  21. There really not much better with him. He's good against the run, but sub-par when it comes to putting pressure on the QB.
