  1. I agree. Who knows about Plaxico's conditioning, plus being away from the game as long as he has. IMO, if Burress were to play this year, I don't know how effective he would be.
  2. I'd like to see how Stevie Johnson and the rest of the WR's on the Bills do this year before saying: "Hey Buddy, sign Plaxico, get r' done!!!" like some fans would do on here.
  3. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...eeks/?related=1 I doubt he would play this year at all with any team.
  4. Maybe if Kelly & the rest of the Bills weren't out partying it up the whole superbowl week, maybe they would have beat the Giants in the superbowl.
  5. I heard Favre, Warner and Schobel had a meeting earlier this year? Does this mean they'll be playing for the Miami Heat?
  6. This country is supposed to have "Freedom of religion", but unfortuantely there are those that try and force their religious views on others in this country.
  7. Tweet from Judd Zulgad: "I'm told Favre has said his ankle has simply not responded and that is why he won't be back."
  8. If that's the case, then the Bills should be able to beat the Vikings this season. Taravis Jackson showed up to camp badly out of shape and is not a good QB to begin with.
  9. One of Schobel's close friends said Monday he would love to be reunited with Kollar and play for the Texans. Bills defensive end Schobel interested in Texans | Sports | Chron.com - Houston Chronicle Posted on Buffalo Rumblings. It's something Bills fans already knew, but would the Texans be willing to trade for Schobel? If so, what would they offer? I can't imagine a high draft pick for a guy coming into camp this late in the year.
  10. From BB.com: "Bills GM Buddy Nix made it clear regarding Aaron Schobel’s career with the Bills. It’s over. “He will remain on our Reserve/Did Not Report list until he makes a decision about what he wants to do, whether it’s retire or if he might want to play somewhere else,” said Nix. If Schobel does want to play elsewhere, the Bills will then begin to explore trade options. It’s clear the Bills will not outright release him." Glad to see the Bills just not cut him loose and give him a free pass to go where ever he wants to go.
  11. From JoeB_WGR (Twitter): "Buddy Nix on the cell phone walking around practice. Looks animated." I guess he's highly PO'd at Schobel right now, which is probably why Nix made the announcement.
  12. What crawled up your ass...
  13. Today, I was listening to Elliott in the morning on DC101, they was saying that Vernon Davis & Aaron Maybin paid a bunch of strippers to go down to Puerto Rico with them this past offseason. Instead of paying strippers, Maybin's small ass should have been in the weight room.
  14. If guys like Jamie Dukes, Marshall Faulk and Charles Davis say those things about the Bills, then it must be true, because those guys are never wrong
  15. +1 Former ECW & TNA wrestler Chris Candido died from a blood clot after ankle surgery. I hope Mike gets better.
  16. So this is Schobel's version of Bruce Smith's antics. Smith used to get his knee scoped, just to avoid training camp. Now Schobel is doing the retirement/family thing to avoid OTA's/mini-camps and some training camp.
  17. Poz fell down the stairs, and his shoes fell off... And he was very, very hurt!!
  18. So what you're saying is that veterans right the right to sit out OTA's, mandatory mini-camps and part of training camps. Aren't veterans suppose to set the example on the team? Marcus Stroud could have easily pulled the same crap with switching from DT to DE, but he didn't, he's a veteran and a professional. On top of that, Schobel or any other member of the Bills should not be skipping any sort of team training considering how bad the team has been not only during the Jauron era, but over the last decade. Play or retire, it's that simple. Note to Schobel: "You're not Bruce Smith and nowhere near the level of ability Bruce Smith was!!"
  19. Borrowing a quote from Mike O.: "If Schobel does come back, it doesn't mean he'll get another 10 sacks this season. With transitioning from DE to OLB, plus not showing up at all for the OTA's, mini-camps and part of training camp, do you really think Schobel is going to be an effective ROLB like he was at RDE? Do you really think he's going to learn not only the new position, but the new defense that quickly before the start of the season?" So, do you really think Schobel is going to be proficient in the 3-4 defense come September 12th?
  20. That's great about Troup. I just hope Spiller's holdout is nowhere near as long as Maybin's was last year.
  21. While no one can knock Schobel or anyone else for wanting to spend more time with their family, but he's going about this the wrong way. Schobel has to learn a new position (ROLB) and a new defense, the 3-4. Showing up this late, puts him way behind everyone else. If he does play, I can't see Schobel being effective in the first half of the season.
  22. So, you agree with his actions then? I guess it's allright for any player to skip all OTA's, mini-camps & now some of training camp, just because they don't feel like showing up?
  23. http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2010/07/28/s...cipating-fines/ The more this saga drags on, the more Schobel is turning into a diva.
