Trade or Cut Evans and Whitner
Jerry Jabber replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
LMAO at stick-um!! I agree that Evans has given up on the Bills. I feel bad for Fitz as he was trying hard to get the team back in the game. Ever since Evans buddy Losman was sent packing, Evans production has dropped off. Is he pissed about the Bills getting rid of his buddy? -
Trade or Cut Evans and Whitner

Evans had 1 rec for 6 yards against Cromartie. Revis will easily shutout Evans. And this is a guy the Bills are paying $9+ million a year for? -
With Gailey being this PO'd today...
Jerry Jabber replied to mike oxhurtz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If he doesn't do something to resolve the problems on defense then yes. IMO, there aren't enough playmakers on offense. The Bills need a QB, RT, 2 WR's and a TE. Evans needs to go. If anyone thinks he earned his $563K game check today, then they're smoking something. -
Perfect example that shows Buffalo's biggest need
Jerry Jabber replied to Cornerville's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Did you even watch the game today? Evans gave up. Two passes that should have been easily caught and Evans dropped them. Enough of the excuses for Evans already, he's given up on the Bills and should either be traded or cut in the offseason. If you can honestly say Evans earned his $563K game check today, then you're smoking something. -

Considering an UDFA and a former 7th rounder both outplayed a former 1st round draft pick, $9+ million a year, supposed #1 WR, I'd say there's some serious changes that need to take place. -

I agree with you & Hamdan, shakeups are going to happen. I wouldn't doubt if they started this week. IMO, George Edwards has done a terrible job with the defense so far this year. Besides the season opener, the defense has gotten their butts handed to them the past 3 games. Hate to say it, but I'd rather have Perry Fewell & the bend-don't-break Tampa 2 defense back right now. -
Trade or Cut Evans and Whitner
Jerry Jabber replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Evans dropped balls that should have been easily caught, so if he's quitting on the team, demote him to being a #5 WR and give guys like Nelson & Johnson a chance at the Top 2 WR positions. It's disgusting knowing Evans is making $9+ million a year (563k a game) and it looks like he's quitting on the team. I feel bad for Fitzpatrick on the other players on the team that are playing hard and are trying to win. -

That's why I said "in the offseason". There's not much the Bills can do now, so they have to wait until then. -
Today, Evans finished the game with 1 reception for 6 yards and dropped some easy catches today. But, he still made $563,000 for todays game. Yet, UDFA David Nelson had 4 receptions for 75 yards and former 7th round pick Stevie Johnson had 3 receptions for 31 yards and 1 Touchdown (also, this is Johnson's second week in a row with a TD). So, I want to know from all the Evans lovers out there, what's the excuse for Evans now? Captain Checkdown is gone and Fitzpatrick is throwing the ball to Evans, but he's still not getting the job done. Evans should give his $563,000 game check and split it between Fitzpatrick, Nelson and Johnson. I hope Nix and Gailey realize that Evans is a one-trick pony, a straight line deep threat. Either trade him in the offseason or cut him loose. I'm just wondering why George Wilson hasn't been starting? After Whitner's pathetic performance today, Wilson should be put back in as starter. Wilson proved last year that he is a better playmaking, ballhawking safety than Whitner. All Whitner has done has shown that he's a tough talker on twitter. Trade him or cut him loose as well.

Stroud might be out for Sunday

Guess everyone is in an uproar over the Kelsay extension. -

I hope Carrington gets his chance to play. With McCargo, he looked good in preseason, plus he's a former #1 pick, with that much investment, the team should see if he can play at DE, if not, then it was a big waste to keep him on the roster in the first place. With Kelsay...absolutely disgusting!! How the f@ck does this organization constantly reward a sub-par player? Kelsay is a backup at best and he's getting $6 mil a year? WTF!!! -
http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2010/9/29/1719950/bills-vs-jets-bills-may-be-without-dt-stroud I wonder if this is a legitimate injury or if the coaches are coming up with a phantom injury to get Stroud out of the starting lineup (considering how bad he's looked so far this year) to give Carrington/Johnson/McCargo a shot?

Jacksonville boards are talking Trent up
Jerry Jabber replied to The Guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just like many Bills fans wanted Jason Campbell. I've seen enough Redskins games to know he was Trent pt. 2 and was glad the Bills did not pick him up. Both Campbell & Edwards lasted the same amount of time as starters this year. -
DONG DONG DONG, TRENT SIGNED BY JAX

Good point. -
Schobel wants the $8+ million a year, without having to show up for OTA's, training camps & preseason...sorry Aaron, that's not going to happen!

Love to see Trent play against us in a couple of weeks. Maybe, Maybin will get his first regular season sack. -
http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2010/9/28/1716967/report-bills-now-listening-to-trade-offers-for-rb-lynch We've all been through this before. We've heard the rumors before the season, during training camp and before the Packers game. So, are the Bills really shopping Lynch now? If so, then they have done a smart job of giving Lynch the bulk of the carries the last 2 weeks to show that Lynch is still a productive RB. Maybe by doing that, this will increase Lynch's trade value? If not, then enough of the trade rumors already.

RJ, Losman, and now Trent....
Jerry Jabber replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
RJ was good at coming off the bench and playing great for one game. RJ could never play good for two games in a row. Being a franchise QB, you have to be a leader and show some fire, RJ showed neither. Losman was thrown in way too quickly in 2005, then flip-flopped with Holcomb. Losman was horribly mismanaged to begin with. While he was great at the deep ball, his short to intermediate game was terrible. While Edwards short to intermediate game was good, he seemed to be gun shy and skittish after the Adrian Wilson hit. If the Bills do draft a QB in the first round this year, they need to make sure it's not a Leaf, Russell, Carrington or Carr type QB (along with a Losman, Johnson or Edwards). They have to get it right this time. -
22 Different Starting QBs since 1992
Jerry Jabber replied to Fairport Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills have only drafted 2 starting QB's that have led the Bills to the playoffs (Ferguson & Kelly). How many QB's have the Lions went through? Also, how many did the Bengals go through before they drafted Palmer? -
There are a lot of players that look great in OTA's, training camps and even preseason, but when it comes to the regular season, they can't get the job done. Trent Edwards and Chad Jackson are just 2 examples of that.
-
I don't know if it was the Adrian Wilson hit that derailed his career, but he wasn't the same afterwards. I was hoping he'd finally turn it around this year, but he shot himself in the foot in the first 2 games. Maybe Trent can win an UFL Championship like Losman did? Can we go out and get a pass-rusher now?

Good question. You're right, Stroud has looked awful so far. Time to give the rookie a shot.
