  1. I like that the 2010 Bills are not blowing 4th quarter leads like they did during the Jauron era. This team is playing hard for 60 minutes. Also, Chan has gotten rid of the players he feels can't make a difference on the team. Both Chan & Buddy have stated they are always looking to upgrade their team and are true to their word by constantly bringing in new players (especially on the O-line). I like that Chan recognizes the O-line has to get better in the run game, IMO once we get more dominating players on the O-line, the Bills will be serious contenders in the NFL. Once the Bills can get Jackson and Spiller in open space, they will do some serious damage to the opposing team. I give Chan an A so far.
  2. You're right, this guy is a non-stop excuse machine. I'm not willing to say all of that about Evans, but at this point, I'd say Evans is a #3 WR at best.
  3. You can keep the excuses coming all day long, but there's no denying Evans had one of his worst statistical performances this year, but yet Fitz is having one of the best stats for a Bills QB's in over 8 years. I knew you were going to use the Trent Edwards excuse, so let's see what our run game does this week. If it's similiar to yesterday's game, then you might have a valid point, but if the Bills run game is more successful, then your point about Evans is absolutely wrong.
  4. So now it's Trent's fault, not Evans? I thought Evans commanded double teams and opened up the run game? I just proved you wrong with all those stats. I proved to you that the Phins have one of the best defenses (especially against the run) and you still have blinders on. Why don't we regress and bring back Losman, just so your favorite player Lee Evans can finally start playing well again. Admit it, you're an obsessed Evans fan! Very average year...give me a F!@KIN' BREAK!!!!
  5. It's hard to say. The Pats always play their best football in the 2nd half of the season. I'd love for the Bills to finally end the losing streak to the Pats, I'm so sick of losing to them twice a year.
  6. Evans having a very average year? You are really in love with Evans. This year in 12 1/2 games played, Evans has 37 receptions, 578 yards and 4 TD's, so that's 2.96 Rec's per game, 46.24 YPG and 0.32 TD's per game, so that's very average to you? How about last year when Evans had T.O., 44 Rec, 612 yds & 7 TDs, that was 2.75 rec's per game, 38.25 YPG, and 0.44 TD's per game. I don't know if Evans decided that once he got the big contract extension that he decided not to play as hard, maybe he's tired of losing, maybe he's upset with the Bills for letting go of his buddy Losman, maybe he's a one trick pony (a deep threat) or a combination of the above, but one things for sure, Evans' production has dropped big time after his contract extension, there's no denying that. Also, with Evans taking double-coverage as a deep threat and opening up the running game, I'm not buying it anymore. I hate to give credit to the Dolphins, but their defense, especially against the run has improved a lot this year. So far after 14 games, the Phins D ranks at #4 with 298.0 YPG, rank 6th against the run at 96.6 YPG and 6th against the pass at 201.1 YPG. In the season opener, with Evans as the #1 WR, the Bills offense had 166 total net yards, with 50 of those from the rush. Of those 50 yards, F. Jackson had 4-19, Lynch 3-13, T. Edwards 2-12, Spiller 7-6. Yesterday, without Evans, the Bills had 282 Total net yards, with 71 coming from the rush (21 more yards without Evans in the lineup). Of those 71 yards, Jackson had 15-36, Fitz had 3-19 and Spiller had 9-16. So your argument about Evans opening up the run game is invalid. So what's the excuses going to be now...
  7. I agree. I think "Kelly the Fair" is either a relative of Evans, the Lee Evans fan club president or an obsessed Evans fan.
  8. There would finally be a meaningful game that I would want to watch on Thanksgiving.
  9. I'm glad the Bills finally have some tall WR's that can play. At one point a few years ago, all the Bills WR's were under 6 ft tall. Ever since 2002, I've been hoping the Bills could get another great combo of WR's like we had with Moulds & Price. Maybe next year or in the coming years, we'll see a good combo (or even a trio) again.
  10. The Bills had multiple 20+ yard receptions today, so the "15 yards down field" statement is very exaggerated. I do have to agree that the Bills did not have a deep threat/speedster today, but you don't always have to have a deep threat on your team if you have a QB that can spread it around and has a good short-to-intermediate game (like Brady & the Pats before they got Welker & Moss).
  11. That's the difference between "the unknown 4" & Evans, the WR's today were able to outleap & outmuscle their DB's, something Evans has a very hard time doing.
  12. Evans has dropped much more than a few passes this year. Look at the difference today with Stevie as the #1 WR, Stevie was able to outmuscle the DB for the TD, something Evans has been unable to do.
  13. Congrats to Stevie for having a good game today & a nice breakout season! I hope Stevie gets 80+ receptions 1000+ yards & gets more than 11 TDs for the Bills TD record.
  14. I've seen Evans drop plenty of catchable balls this year. As far as Evans not getting enough deep passes thrown to him...I think the big problem with the Evans fan club is that they expect all the Bills to constantly throw it deep like Losman did, and that's not going to happen. Losman's game was the deep ball, but sucked at the short-to-intermediate range. For anyone to expect Fitz to throw it deep 6-8 times a game to Evans is delusional.
  15. I agree, we have our QB, plus "The Unknown 4" are taking full advantage of the opportunities they are getting. IMO, the Bills should trade Evans and stockpile as many picks as possible (the Pats & Chiefs have had success in doing that). With Easley waiting in the wings, IMO, all the Bills need is a good pass-catching TE and another Tackle, then the Bills will be set on offense.
  16. There was a lot of speculation of how much other teams double-team Evans, which has supposedly been the reason why S. Johnson & D. Nelson's production has increased. Steve Johnson was the #1 WR today, saw the double-coverages, and was still able to have a solid game. Also, David Nelson had his best game in his young NFL career. So, was Evans absence really noticed today?
  17. Two wins in a row!!! Go Bills!!!
  18. We need a nice, long drawn out drive that takes a lot of time off the clock.
  19. Is it time to look for another punter? Moorman is really having an off-year this year?
  20. Go Stevie!! Now that's what a #1 WR is supposed to do, outmuscle a DB. Anyone missing Evans today?
  21. Glad to see D. Nelson having a great game so far. Is anyone missing Evans or even notice he's not there?
  22. The coaches are high on David Nelson. Over the last two weeks, Nelson's production has increased and IMO will continue that way. I don't know if we'll see Nelson having similiar type numbers as Johnson did earlier in the season (with 100+ yard games and multiple TD's), but it will be nice to see what our rookies can do now that our veteran WR's (Evans & Parrish) are out for the season.
  23. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2010/12/15/1877088/bills-13-browns-6-notes-from-the-o-line-week-14 With Eric Wood lined up at Center for the entire day, Andy Levitre had his best stats of the year in run blocking. I'm looking forward to seeing how Wood & Levitre are going to do the rest of the season. Like others have said, if Wood continues to play the way he did on Sunday at Center, he should remain there permanently.
  24. Isn't that the truth. The only move I've ever seen Maybin make is the one where he goes fast to the outside, and lowers in shoulder so he can try and get underneath of the O-lineman and get to the QB...his 'bread and butter...crumb and oleo' move has yet to work in the NFL...guess that's his arsenal of moves.
