IMO, the Bills have a great situation on their hands, four RB's that can play & produce. Currently, the top two RB's are Jackson & Lynch, but the future looks great with Spiller & Bell. I can see the Bills in the Top 5 in rushing offense this year. I don't know how long Lynch has left on his contract. I doubt he'll get traded by the trade deadline. If this is Lynch's last year on contract with the Bills, then he'll be gone next season. IMO, it would be a big mistake to cut Bell or put him on the practice squad, because he'll get picked up by another team immediately.

Exactly. The Jags used our 1st round pick for Fred Taylor. Taylor would have been a great RB to have considering Thurman was on the downside of his career at that point. I think the Flutie/Collins combo would have been good. Flutie could have mentored Collins and the Bills could have given Collins another shot a few years later. You're right about Collins being a good backup to Jim Kelly. In September 96', I was home on leave from the Marines before getting stationed over in Okinawa and decided to go to the game vs the Colts. Collins played that game and we won 13-10 in OT.

The Bills gave up on Todd Collins way too quickly. I'm not saying he would have been a great QB for us, but he wasn't even given a full year as the starter before the plug was pulled. That's nowhere near enough time to develop a QB.

1. I'd try to buy tickets to the Superbowl for me & the family. If not, I'd have to travel up to Buffalo for the game. 2. If anything happens, it would be in downtown. IMO, I don't think you'd see any rioting going on, just a ton of celebrating. 3. It would bring up morale in the city and add more excitement. I'd definitely travel back to Buffalo for the Superbowl parade.

It's one thing to loan some money for a stadium, but for relocation & a stadium, in this economy, I highly doubt it.

What kind of deals? Right now the Bills are listed at $909 million. The relocation fee is $600 million, that's $1.509 Billion right there. Okay, maybe Goodell cuts 'a deal' like you say and gives the owner a discounted relocation fee, the new owner still has to build a new stadium. How much do you think that's gonna cost?

I asked Chris Brown (Bills reporter) questions about how much money would it take for a new Bills owner to purchase the team and relocate it to another city, here's Chris' response: "The attractive situation with the Bills franchise is there is no debt. No debt on the stadium, not a lot of dead money on player contracts etc. With the lease expiring in 2012 it makes getting out of Buffalo easier as well. Relocation fees can be up to $600M and Commissioner Goodell I believe has discretion to make it even higher as a deterrent. If a team costs up to $1 billion (Forbes valued Bills at $909 million this year) I still think despite the lease and no debt issues that the relocation fee would be enough of a deterrent." If a new owner were to decide to move the team, he would have to come up with at least $2.5 Billion at minimum, to include purchase, moving & building a new stadium in a new city. That might work heavily in Buffalo's favor to keep the team in WNY.

I hope that McNabb plays as bad as he has been in training camp and our secondary has a couple of INT's against him. I also hope that Spiller's first kickoff return goes for a TD, maybe then the announcers on NFL network will devote some more attention to the Bills.

I wish I could make it to the game in MD, but I'll be at home watching it on TV. I'm not making a prediction on the final score, I'm just looking forward to seeing how the team looks under Gailey and how our rookies perform.

You're not kidding. David Nelson is basically the same size as Hardy and looks much better, so I can see Nelson making the team over Hardy.
