  1. Same thing on the NFL Network.
  2. Where I see the run defense improved is up the middle, there's no doubt the Bills need to do a much better job of containing the edges. I'm not sure if it's due to the over-aggressive style of the Bills that's leaving the sides vulnerable or if it's the play of the LB's, but that area needs to improve. The offense has put up a good amount of points in the last 2 games, but struggled most of the season. Granted, it was tough when you're playing with 3 QB's this season, but we've seen the offense go 3 and out a ton of times and with a high-paced/no huddle offense, those fast 3-and-outs have put a ton of on the defense.
  3. This year, the defense has improved in a lot of areas. The offense also needs to do their part by playing good on a consistent basis.
  4. Injuries have played a big part in the pass defense, with Gilmore being out for a while (and not being 100% still), Byrd & McKelvin also missed some time as well. This is the first year under a new DC with a new defensive system, so there's gonna be some growing pains in certain areas.
  5. I feel sometimes the Bills can be overly aggressive with their pressures and teams make them pay for it, such as the 2 long TD's on Sunday.
  6. All the head coaches in the NFL know the rules of the game. No one, except the referees are supposed to be on the white lines of the sidelines. In the last Bills/Jets game where Rex Ryan was flagged for being on the white marker, that incident appeared to be unintentional as Ryan was following the play and stepped on the white marker. If Tomlin was following the play and stepped on the white marker or even got half way up the white marker, you could say it was unintentional. Tomlin just didn't wonder out there by accident, he was standing still with his back to the play with his foot strategically positioned to affect the runner, by which Tomlin succeeded and was not flagged for during the game. It was very blatant.
  7. I didn't realize it was a 2 year deal for Moeaki. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000292686/article/tony-moeaki-buffalo-bills-strike-twoyear-contract Hopefully Moeaki stays healthy as I feel he is an upgrade to the TE position.
  8. Okay, have a good night then!
  9. It's either you have only read bits and pieces of my posts and not read them in their entirety (I already stated Tomlin was trying to either slow down Jones or make him change direction to prevent him from scoring a TD), or you're just trying to get the last word in. It's nice that you have faith in people that they wouldn't obviously break the rules if they know about them, but not every person in the world is like that. But some people have the mentality that "It's only cheating if you get caught." Bottom line, Tomlin felt he could away with it and initially did as the ref did not throw a flag. Too bad it was a prime time game on national tv which had millions of more viewers.
  10. I think I clearly said that already that Tomlin's foot was partially on the field of play. Apparently in your eyes, there was nothing suspicious at all with what Tomlin was doing. Standing on the edge of the field of play with his foot touching the field was not suspicious at all? Standing with his back to the play and watching the play occur on the screen is what all coaches do in your eyes. Looking back at the very last moment then jumping out of the way wasn't suspicious at all, that was just a coincidence? So, since Tomlin knew the rules, there's no way he wouldn't intentionally break them right? I'm sure the Patriots & Saints said the same things. You make a poor public defender! Look Mrs. Tomlin, you know what your husband did was wrong and he knows it too, so stop playing dumb already and go back to Pittsburgh!
  11. Plain and simple, Tomlin thought he could get away with it because that penalty is rarely called. You can put whatever twist you want on it, but Tomlin thought he was slick and felt he could get away with it, which he initially did as the ref did not throw a flag. Did Belichek & the Patriots know that what they were doing in regards to Spygate was illegal? Yes. Did Payton, Williams & the Saints know a paid bounty program was illegal? Yes. Did that stop the Patriots & Saints from continuing their illegal activities? No.
  12. Negative. Tomlin knew the rules and purposely broke them. First off, why would he have his back to the play and be right to the edge of the field of play with his foot partially on the field if it wasn't intentional? I'm not sure if you watched the last Bills/Jets game where Rex Ryan was flagged for being on the white marker. That incident appeared to be unintentional as Ryan was following the play and stepped on the white marker. If Tomlin was following the play and stepped on the white marker or even got half way up the white marker, you could say it was unintentional. But, he had his back to the play and was looking up at the screen following the play, then looked back to see how close Jacoby Jones was to him before moving. It was very blatant. Just like with Spygate, others have been doing this for a while, but someone finally got caught. IMO, Tomlin should have received a suspension at minimum. I don't feel that the Steelers should have draft picks taken away from them.
  13. Two questions for you: 1. Is it against the rules in the NFL for any player or coach to be on the white part of the sidelines during live action on the field? 2. Is it the Head Coaches job to know all the rules of the game?
  14. Looks like they just put Chandler on notice, and I'm glad to see it. IMO, Chandler is a good #2 TE, but the Bills need a better/more reliable pass catching TE. The problem with Moeaki has been injuries, but if he can stay healthy, then he is an upgrade over Chandler. I would still like to see the Bills draft a good pass catching TE in the draft, as well as a true #1 WR in the mold of Boldin, Fitzgerald, Calvin Johnson or Dez Bryant.
  15. Tomlin was hoping to make Jones move over and/or slow down that way someone from the Steelers could catch him. It's one thing if Tomlin was partially on the white part of the sideline, or even half way, but he was right on the edge of the field with part of his foot on the field. NFL coaches know all the rules to the game and are informed of any changes to the rules. Plus, Tomlin is on the competition committee. This was no accident and it was intentional.
  16. The Tomlin incident was no accident or mistake, Tomlin knew exactly what he was doing on that play and he was laughing about it seconds later. He deserves whatever penalties/fines the NFL give him.
  17. Before I would have disagreed with you, but after yesterday's showing and thinking about SJ's career so far in Buffalo, I completely agree with your assessment. Stevie's track record says it all: Dropped a TD pass against the Steelers in OT Dropped a pass which could have lead to a TD against the Jets (during the Gailey era) Flagged for unsportsman like conduct for numerous occasions for excessive TD celebrations Had the ball popped out with less than a 1 minute to go in the game (yesterday) SJ is no Andre Reed and cannot be counted on when the game is on the line as he has failed many more times than he has succeeded in clutch situations. I like SJ and feel he is a good slot WR, but not a #1 WR. The Bills need a #1 WR in the mold of Boldin, or Calvin Johnson. Same goes with Chandler, he's a good #2 TE, but the Bills need a better pass catching TE. I actually thought the WR's did better against the Jets with Goodwin as the #1 WR compared to yesterday's game. That's not to say that I think Goodwin should be the #1 WR, but the guy can play and should be used more than just the deep routes.
  18. Whoop-dee-freakin-doo!!!
  19. 9 years in a row with a losing record (they're not going 8-8 this year) 14 years (and counting) of missing the playoffs 17 playoff appearances in 54 years That folks, is exactly why the Bills are the worst franchise in the NFL!! Now kool-aid drinkers, tell me how Marrone & company are going to turn this around (just like Donahoe/Greggggg/Mularkey, Levy/Jauron, Brandon/Jauron, Nix/Gailey were going to turn this team around). The names are different, the results are the same.

  21. Now everyone can stop the playoff nonsense for good as there is no way the Bills can make it. 14 years in a row of missing the playoffs is an embarrassment and a disgrace!!! We deserve much better than this!! And people wonder why players like Willie Colon say stuff like "They lost to F!@king Buffalo Bills!!" The Bills are a joke of franchise, and unfortunately, it's a bad joke on us which is never ending.
  22. Can Marrone & Hackett be fired and promote Pettine to HC?
  23. With the game on the line, both SJ & Chandler blew the Bills chances with back to back fumbles. Those are inexcusable!! Chandler's was much worse than SJ's. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Chandler is a backup TE at best and the Bills need a better option at TE. SJ is a good slot WR, but his mistakes are at the absolute worst times. The Bills need a true #1 WR. Now everyone can stop the playoff nonsense for good as there is no way the Bills can make it. 14 years in a row of missing the playoffs is an embarrassment and a disgrace!!! 24. Some WR's take time to develop. It took Eric Moulds a few years to develop into the good WR that he became. Graham is in his 2nd year, while Goodwin is a rookie. Right now, Goodwin is ahead of the learning curve than Graham is. IMO, there's no reason to be down on Graham so far, he's still young, plus he has a rookie QB throwing to him.
  25. I wasn't a big fan of his. Sometimes he seemed very anti-Bills, but seemed to cool off over the past few years.
