The fact you don’t think much of his priorities is irrelevant, it’s a very meaningful streak not only to Allen but his teammates, especially his oline responsible for keeping him healthy.
-
It’s important to Allen because it shows his ability to play through injuries for his teammates, that he’s a guy they can count on to be under center every week. It’s a streak that matters because of the perception from the men in the locker room, he doesn’t give a damn if media or fans see him as tough.

It was actually Mahomes who did it last in his 50TD MVP season
-
Yeah I’m thinking it’s not as close as some people are saying, Allen will receive somewhere in the 40 1st place vote range and maybe more imo.

Coleman shows up Allen on first TD target

Of course Allen knows the ball needed to be higher, I can understand how that display could be taken negatively. I’m just viewing it as a rookie WR telling Allen it’s a TD if it’s up, he did it instantaneously and without malice, if this was an every week event I’d have issue, if this was a 10 year vet like Cooper then I probably have an issue. I don’t see this as anything at all as a stand alone incident. -

Nothing wrong with Allen be reminded that Keon’s catch radius is best utilized vertically in the end zone, I don’t see the problem here. we’ll just agree to disagree. -

Josh Allen hasn’t played with a WR with these hops in his entire life playing QB, safe to assume it’s an adjustment getting used to throwing passes where every other WR he’s thrown to couldn’t go. That wasn’t Diggs on the sideline throwing his hands in the air, a little perspective here lol. -

It wasn’t done in anger or frustration, the kid simply let the MVP know where the ball needs to be, Allen adjusted and threw him a lob pass to the rim for a TD. Looked like a QB and a young receiver growing together on the field in real time. -

lol this is so hard to watch, how did not a single person say, “hey guys, let’s just walk out without the boombox today” it’s bizarre, almost like a comedy skit. -
The MVP will get the maximum allowable prime time slots

Rousseau having a monster game, and their doubling him at times -
15-1 is better than 12-3 ? nice, I thought so because 15 is more than 12 but this thread certainly solidifies it for me.

Saturday Games - who are we rooting for? Belinda

lol.. That’s very telling -
Lights out against the Texans is wild… he completed 10 passes and ran the ball 4 times, he made a couple big plays but was essentially just operating an extremely high functioning offense.

What is the obvious reason with the Dolphins? I get the Bills are 0-2 against the Bengals and the have Burrow, but what is the fear of the Dolphins… outside of the Broncos and Colts because of their QB situations, I think the Dolphins would be the best matchup -
Mahomes has the ability to make a play when needed in crunch time like very few ever have, he’s shown to be ahead of Allen in that department thus far, but this story has yet to be fully written and it’s not like Allen hasn’t shown the ability to be clutch also. we’ll see where this all ends up in another 10 years or so.

I 100% agree with you on what it’s going to take to shift the media and thus the masses opinion on where Josh Allen stands amongst his peers. It wasn’t that long ago when there was no advanced metrics and DVOA and EPA and the dozens of other metrics that are readily available minuets after every game, there wasn’t 24/7 talking heads examining every detail of every pass or play run. Without all that excessive information, nobody had any problems determining that Marino was on a different level than Kelly regardless of head to head record or 4 straight SB appearances, you just had to watch Marino throw a football. Im not sure what you’re seeing when you watch Mahomes play football that tells you he’s better than Allen playing the game of football, it’s your opinion but I see a bigger, stronger, faster, more elusive, bigger arm and more big plays from Allen.

Again.. you seem to be speaking on behalf of those who believe team success determines individual greatness in QBs, you’re correct that everyone has their own opinion and some people choose the criteria of individual play to determine greatness. To be considered the best by the media and by those who subscribe to the media’s criteria then Brady is the GOAT and Mahomes has a way to go, but nobody is ever going to consider Bradshaw in any conversation with all his winning and SBs, so the goal posts seem to be wherever one wishes to place them. I just happen to believe the purest way of evaluating greatness is to watch them play the game of football, everybody could find a stat or metric to support an argument or simply look at team success… that’s fine but it’s just confirmation bias in most cases. when someone doesn’t agree with you, don’t assume they’re lying, assume they may know something you don’t. I’ve self corrected many points of view after having an open heart mind to possibly changing it.
-
That’s not how it’s always been to everyone, some people prefer to watch players actually PLAY the game of football and decide who plays the game better. I have Allen and Lamar at the top and have been for years, Allen is better passer, Lamar a slightly better runner. Mahomes is not as talented as those two and it’s obvious when you watch them play the game of football, not a knock on Mahomes because 3rd isn’t bad… nothing wrong with bronze.

Seahawks-Bears anyone? (Live Game Thread)
julian replied to Sierra Foothills's topic in The Stadium Wall
They gotta stop giving these rookie QBs prime time games.. maybe a couple Thursday night games early in the season but November and December prime time slots need to be heavily weighted with the leagues best QBs Mahomes, Allen, Burrow and Stafford and so on and flex out any garbage. This is unwatchable. -
My son’s gf said “look at Josh’s let-e” … I said “ his what ?” And my son laughed and said “lettuce”, I guess I still looked puzzled because he said “his hair” why do young people have to shorten every damn word.

Broncos, Ravens, Chiefs - Can the Bills run through this gauntlet.
julian replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
No, miserable fan bases don’t matter lol, evidenced by all the bad teams every year in the NFL and miserable fan bases are going to matter even less if that’s possible, in places where the teams are already excellent. I think it just bothers you that other fan’s don't view the team through the same prism as you do. You’re definitely not alone in this but it shouldn’t surprise or shock you that other fans aren’t as upset or angered about the team and its decisions, the Bills are a very entertaining product right now and have been for years.
