  1. Glad to hear Rex rave about Goodwin, I've liked that guy from the day he arrived, lot's of potential imho. Hopefully he'll remain that way once the pads go on in due time.
  2. I'm missing the option: "If we're drafting a QB in any round our FO consists of morons since we allready have 4 proven backup QBs and there isnt an immediate starter that can be drafted at QB" Due to lack of the above option I voted that they all get cut if we draft a QB, if we start drafting one QB we may as well draft only QBs this year, cut all we have and have the rookies battle it out. Seriously? Lol, that was some 4-way QB competition Tuel was allowed into... 2 days in shorts... At least he impressed in the video room, prior to shorts camp...
  3. Generic thread conclusions that apply to all post draft threads; 1. Not a single Bills player ever lives up to his draft position, except for 7th rounders, we love those. 2. Not a single Bills player is worth a first round draft pick, ever. 3. Not a single Bills player was worth trading up for. 4. Trading down is very good unless you draft EJ Manual. 5. We should draft seven QBs every draft. 6. Never ever draft a CB anymore (blame Jauron for that one). 7. OMG we didn't draft a TE.
  4. Why in the world would we pick a QB to start with. We're not going to get an immediate starter at QB out of the draft and we allready have 4 proven backup QBs on our roster. You draft to improve your team not to replace bench material with bench material.
  5. Probably because he played with the broken hand. My guess is they had to operate and reset the break (i.e. break it again) then it's a matter of regaining hand strength.
  6. There are guys in another timeline having the same discussion on stadiumwall, however their thread is called "Would we have made the playoffs if we had signed Marrone over Pettine"?
  7. The reservations I have with Rex is that he is his own best PR machine. Reality is that he made it to the AFC title game twice with a team that he inherited and from there on it was down hill. Even with 2 AFC championship games he still posts a loosing record of 46-50. Facts are not supporting what the PR machine is producing so to speak. If he does manage to put his money where his mouth is he'll have a ton of respect. The good news is, he did inherit a pretty good group of guys here as well so hopefully that will work out the same or better. Personally I was in the Schwartz camp; but supporting the decision now until the season is done.
  8. Lol, poor Buffalo will have a shortage of shrinks once the Bills finally do win the big one; all these cynics that don't know how to handle feeling great and confident.
  9. 66 out of 71 players present, minus Huges (wedding), Gillmore (berthing) who else wasn't there? Who are the 3 guys that are awalk?
  10. Wanna bet these guys have been practising for months for the veterans combine? It is wierd that all the timings are that high, you'd expect better times from at least a few.
  11. They may as well move the game to Antartica imho.
  12. 1: R2P18 TE 2: R3P17 LB or Guard 3: R5P19 LB or Guard 4: R6P12 Safety 5: R6P18 Safety 6: R7P17 BPA
  13. Woot would love to have his leadership and drive back on the team!
  14. At this point I'll doubt EJ even gets a chance to compete for backup QB, he'll prolly will end up having to fight it out with Tuel for 3rd.
  15. Love how he always gets at least 2-3 yards extra by 'simply' falling forward. Wish those highlight reels would come with downlight reel too; sometimes you learn more about a player from watching their errors and mistakes then their successes.
  16. The situation is pretty simple; Spikes wants a 3 down role, the Bills offered him a 2 down/situational role. So both parties agreed they couldn't come to terms like that and as such they agreed to let Spikes test the FA waters whilst under a mutual agreement/desire that if that doesn't work out he'll (be) resign(ed). Bills want him, Spikes wants to be here, no issue there; it's all about the size of his role. Straight from the mouth of Whaley.
  17. Agreed, trading Rivers doesn't solve the family issue he portrays.
  18. What you are missing is that Sj his performance was tied to a certain QB, be it chemistry or something else... He also did very well with Hamdan with caused him to get noticed in the first place (within the team). What both Fritz and Hamdan had in common is the ability to read the field, thus anticipate to the adjustments SJ made to his routes. He might do well with Cassel tbh.
  19. I'm really happy to see Dareus smiling like that and having found what seems to be a great friend in Jerry!
