  1. Good luck. I doubt you'll have much with how popular and good the team is now.
  2. Until people start throwing curve balls and sliders instead of 80 mph down the middle "fastballs"
  3. Didn't he make Kelly the highest paid player in the NFL when he signed here? EDIT: He did...actually the highest paid player in NFL history which at the time was a 5 year $7.5 million dollar contract. My how times have changed. If I recall, Polian didn't want to do it and Ralph told him that he had to or else he wouldn't have a team here anymore and he'd have to pack up and leave if they lost Kelly. https://buffalonews.com/online/bn-blitz-on-this-day-looking-back-at-the-jim-kelly-signing/article_354027ce-ffcf-11eb-b693-d3c066b5850f.html#:~:text=Thirty-five years ago today,' new million-dollar arm.
  4. That line and also Shanahan's rushing scheme...similar to the 49ers rushing scheme.
  5. To me Art Monk was basically a possession receiver. A very good one that caught a lot of 10-12 yard passes and was very consistent over a lot of years. He belongs in the hall of very good, maybe even very very good, but not great. Not a receiver you ever thought to yourself "Oh my God, we have to stop him or he is going to destroy us" the same way you did Rice or Moss or Sterling Sharpe or even Andre Reed. His career was too short to really qualify in my eyes. Part of being great is also the ability to maintain it over a longer period of time. Injuries or not, the NFL has plenty of players who were great for a few years period and then faded into obscurity. The assumption was made that wouldn't have happened to him, but how do we know that? And if you want to put someone who has their career cut short by injury in it would be Sterling Sharpe all day and twice on Sunday over Davis.
  6. Playing off the other thread asking who you thought should be in the HOF but isn't, this is the reverse. Who is in the HOF that you don't believe belongs? I'll start with Art Monk and Terrell Davis.
  7. The cap is mostly fake, they will be able to do what they need to do.
  8. The cap is increasing hugely next year, likely well more than what they speculate
  9. Still 3 minutes to go but with a 17-8 lead over Toronto, I don't think they are in danger of losing... Hopefully they can break down the door this time instead of losing in the finals. Would be the first title for quite some time for them.
  10. Noooooooooooo!!!
  11. Also sucks the Jags are playing back to back weeks in London and will be there waiting for the Bills. NFL seemingly trying to hand the Bills an L or tell them they are good enough to win anyway so it won't be a big deal.
  12. Inflation? Because 4.6 Billion dollars then is worth more than 6 Billion dollars today?
  13. Browns assembling good players instead of a team kinda like Whaley did
  14. That's an extra mil per item given...considered an upgrade from the base package 😂
  15. It seems strange that they set a limit that is acceptable and then are concerned someone plays within their rules they lay out, regardless of what end of the spectrum they lie on. If 25 is too many for them, then they need to update their rules.
  16. Commanders enter into an agreement with Josh Harris and his group... https://sports.yahoo.com/commanders-announce-daniel-snyder-entered-sale-agreement-with-josh-harris-203727109.html Harris reportedly agreed to buy the team from Snyder for $6 billion.
  17. Gjv...does it stand for Good joke Victor?
  18. Lmao! I meant Josh and I left off the s on his last name 😂 Can't keep up with the McDanielses
  19. First order of business? Fire Josh McDaniels 😂😂 https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/tom-brady-in-deep-discussions-to-become-limited-partner-of-the-raiders-per-report/
  20. Sterling Sharpe. Would be the 2nd best receiver of all time behind Jerry Rice if neck injuries didn't forced him to retire. Was literally uncoverable no matter how many defenders you put on him.
  21. 6 prime time games, 1 London Game and a bunch of others at 4:30...the price we pay for being good and in demand.
  22. Pretty much foregone conclusions with how the rookie wage scale is. Little reason for prolonged contract discussions unless one side is trying to screw the other and demand things that are unusual.
  23. Because he probably loves her and wants her to be OK, just not enough that he wants to marry her.
  24. Seems more likely this is what happened. He just didn't love her like that. Smart man not to get tied down to someone you don't actually love. Would gnaw at you until the day you got divorced.
