  1. I want to know what specifically changes in the playoffs from the regular season that caused them to give up 38, 42 and 27 points versus 20,20 and 17. Same team, same players, same scheme...drastically different results. And yes, I realize the last game was ridiculous due to injuries but they had all their defenders in the first 2 so that isn't a valid excuse. Ironically they gave up the least amount of points to them in the playoffs when they were the most injured.
  2. Well, he prevented an easy TD to Shakir late in the game against us that forced a missed FG. In the SB he caused Purdy to miss a wide open player in the end zone late in the game that would have given them the lead. Pretty much every game I watched in the playoffs when it's close and late, he makes a play. Sometimes plays to basically seal the game.
  3. Who was lost in the first game and the 2nd game? To my recall we were very healthy on D in the first 2 playoff games. So they lost those players in all 3 playoff games they got blown out on D in or just the last one?
  4. Why? They fold like cheap tents when the games get tough and their scheme is highly flawed against good teams
  5. Huh? Bills had the best screen game in the NFL under Chan Gailey who was masterful at every type of screen. Honestly would love to have seen what Gailey could have done with Allen as his QB... Before that, Kelly and Thurman were pretty great at screens as well. Also ran some great "Gold Rip/Whip" audible tunnel screens with John Brown under Daboll in 2019 and 2020 that were highly effective Seems like you have a lot of holes in your memories over the years 🤣
  6. Not surprising considering the short fields they keep giving us and the extra possession they got from the pick 6.
  7. Held the Chiefs to 20, 20 and 17 points in the 3 regular season meetings. Something changes in the playoffs. Allowed 38, 42 and 27(not 34 only due to Hardman fumbling at the half yard line) in the 3 playoff games.
  8. The difference in all those close playoff games? Chris Jones making game saving plays on D late in the 4th quarter pretty much every game. He's the Mahomes on defense for them. Whenever you need a play to win a game, he is there for it. IMO, he is as much a reason the Chiefs have 3 SBs as Mahomes is, if not more.
  9. It's not just one time last year...it's been all 3 times in the playoffs. Regular season we hold them to 20, 20 and 17. Playoffs they score 38, 42, 27(only because Hardman fumbles going into the end zone at the 1 yard line). That's a massive difference.
  10. Blah...have Brown on one of fantasy teams but I guess it doesn't matter because I also have Worthy
  11. Yes but the thing I don't get is how the Bills handle the Chiefs in the regular season defensively but completely are inept against them in the playoffs.
  12. Mitch Morse never went into a fencing posture on National TV twice for millions of parents to see and singlehandedly likely caused more decline in participation of youth football than any other event or player in NFL history. That may seem insignificant but I can promise you the NFL is alarmed at this because they are very focused on long-term growth of this league and do not want the tireless work of the last 5 decades to go to down the tubes. Less youth participation means less potential college and pro players and lower quality of the game over time.
  13. Ed Oliver was also a beast. Chris Long was so impressed with him that he called him 100% canine and said he doesn't want to be one of those fans wearing jerseys of players but he is buying an Ed Oliver jersey.
  14. Too bad this doesn't translate to the playoffs.
  15. I would be shocked if the independent neurologists(who are paid by the NFL BTW) clear Tua this season. Tua has the potential to do more to damage football at the grassroots level over the next decade than just about anyone and I wouldn't be surprised if the NFL are having internal discussions as to how to handle this situation.
  16. I could a scenario where Goodell for the integrity and protection of the sport longterm, tells independent neurologists that the NFL is paying, BTW, that they are never going to clear Tua to play medically. They work with Tua and the agent to ensure he is fully paid out his entire contract and signs and NDA that forbids him from talking about this. Why? Goodell was in attendance last night and once again witnessed a fencing reaction on Primetime TV by Tua, ensuring millions of Americans saw that. The second time we have witnessed this with him in a few years. Youth football is already facing a massive decline in numbers as parents are not wanting to subject their kids to these type of long term, life altering potential brain traumas. Seeing this AGAIN on national TV only reinforces why they shouldn't allow their kids to play, brings it up as a huge topic of discussion again and likely has caused numerous people to decide their child is never playing football. For the long term health of the NFL, protecting the cash cow the NFL has become and preventing potential declines in revenue that they have spent decades building up, it would make perfect sense to prevent a player who could single handedly lessen participation in the sport drastically by people seeing up close and personal on national TV what can happen on the worst case scenario. It may sound crazy but I would be shocked if the NFL isn't having internal discussions about what to do about the "Tua problem".
  17. From a post on Twitter that I read but can't find now, it said that Fins only have contract insured for 49.3 out of the 167+ million guaranteed, so they would be on the hook for the other $122 million... And as far as I know once a player retires that money gets accelerated to the cap immediately.
  18. Brought this up last week when they broke the record after the Cardinal game...it's truly absurd... Last defeat by more than 6 points(in regular season) was to Carson Wentz and the Colts in November 2021.
  19. IMO, McDaniel's scheme is hugely flawed and it gets exposed every game McDermott plays against him. They don't have any answers for what the Bills do defensively which is basically take away deep throws and force runs and patient underneath throws. They have ferrari's and porsche's and lambo's and bugatti's and want to drive 200 mph but the Bills put roadblocks and potholes in the way and force them to slow down and drive with their hazards on. Been that way pretty much every game against them. We make them look average offensively. The games aren't usually close and other teams seem to be catching on and following the Bills lead increasingly often. The Fins are all flash and glitz but no substance when it comes down to it. When you take away the flash and force them to actually play sound, fundamental football, they fold like cheap tents because they don't know how to do it since they rely on tricks, misdirection and motions so often to prevent them from having to do it. Bills take away deep shots and crowd the middle of the field to clog the crossers. Play physical at the LOS with the WR's to disrupt timing and routes. They basically tell the Fins to run the ball and throw short passes to the backs and TE's if they are going to try and beat them. Achane always has good games against us, but so what? We are giving them that based on the gameplan and light boxes. We don't care about him running for 100 yards. That's irrelevant to the outcome of the game. They are never winning that way. Fins refuse to stick with it long enough to force the Bills out of it and even if they did, I don't know if it would force them out of it.
  20. But I heard right on this board that our OC is nothing special... Hmm...wonder what is more over...the Dolphins season or his dating career? 😂
  21. Did they? Where are they now and how has he contributed to any playoff success? That team is nowhere.
  22. Yeah...seems really revisionist now... but as always people forget about the past and are so caught up in the last game or few games of the season.
  23. Had every reason to want out of Minnesota with the way the offense was headed to a run heavy approach when he was in his prime. Bills utilized him properly in his prime...now that he is past his prime he still thinks he is in it but he isn't... Players have a right to want to maximize their abilities and their career potential. That was never happening in Minnesota.
  24. In the 4 years he was here with Allen Led the NFL in receiving yards Led the NFL in receptions Tied for most TDs with Kelce-Mahomes Doesn't take much "understanding" as to why.
