  1. Yep...Safety will be WAY up there in terms of need...May be #1...Though I'm almost always going to lean towards WR now... I do think it's more likely Benford makes the move to S...He's in the Hyde/Poyer mode...Similar sized players with CB background. In fact that's the 1st thing I thought of when they Drafted Benford. I think his decent play early at CB surprised the Bills a bit. And that's a really good thing moving forward if he flips to Safety. I would not be surprised at all to see the Bills go Safety, WR, and O-Line with their first 3 picks in whatever order...I think there are some really nice WR options coming out in the 2nd-3rd round area...TDN has 10 WR's, 7 Safeties, 5 IOL, and 8 OT's in their Top 100 right now. So the depth looks OK at the Bills key need areas.
  2. What a game! Now I'm off to the local emergency... Totally worth it... GO BILLS!!!
  3. Yep...They went from 2nd and 1 to punting...
  4. That penalty was about as bad a backbreaker as you're going to get in a game...The D comes up with a stop...Then that happens... Indescribable pain...
  5. The one thing pointed out in that SD game was the Chargers getting depth in coverage...That play cant happen...Not with that guy running the route...
  6. OK...Grabbed the oxygen from the basement and I'm good to go!
  7. I feel like the Bills have a bank of good luck they are owed back this season. I think that was a withdrawal...
  8. I'm not sure how I'm typing this considering my heart stopped...
  9. Those 2 catches by Hill on that drive...Ugh...
  10. Let's just trade TD's for FG's all game and get the W...
  11. I really wish the weather forecast was better for Sat night...I hope we get lucky in that area...Because I really want to see the passing game...I'm curious...This is fascinating stuff.. The Bills Offense was rounding into an absolute buzz saw late last year...And Beasley was an important piece of that...He's probably heathier now...I have no idea what to expect, but it certainly can't hurt...Brady had his guys too...Josh and Beas have had a lot of success together... Let's see...
  12. That's fine...And very possible... But it still does not explain why Dane is on the field getting beat regularly in obvious passing situations...At this point is there a Bills fan alive that does not think Dane will be targeted on 3rd and long? I mean. I know it's not going to happen every time. And it's not like Hamlin has helped a ton. But it sure seems like it's Dane a high percentage of times when an Offense does convert...I can't find specific Defensive rankings on 3rd and 10 or more, but the Bills have the 17th ranked 3rd Down Defense...This is an area that has plenty of room for improvement. I realize CB is not the only problem. But it's hard to believe Elam is behind Dane in coverage. It's possible, but tough to believe...
  13. This is just my opinion...I have not talked to anyone. Don't know anything on the inside. I just have hunches. I had a feeling the Bills might try what I think is going on here when Tre came back. But with Elam being a 1st Round pick, I doubted it would happen. Dane Jackson is LOVED by the coaching staff. He stepped in last year and played pretty well. I think McD and Frazier are going with the assumption that Dane is the #2 until someone beats him out. I don't really care that they're giving the perception of it still being a competition...It's not...At least up to this point. Look at how they handled Levi. They LOVED Levi in that locker room, and I think they love Dane similarly. They are going to need to see something that makes them believe it's a no-brainer if they're going to play Elam over Dane. Of course some will argue that has already happened...They may be right. BTW...I can't explain the week Rhodes started. I have no idea. But Dane was 1st in that week too. Anyway...The problem is, IMHO, they've waited too long already. If Dane truly was playing that well, and Elam had really struggled it would be one thing. But we're going into Week 15, and Elam needs to play. They need to see what he's got in coverage...ESPECIALLY on 3rd and long...For the life of me I don't understand why that kid is not on the field in obvious passing situations. With Tre back, this is the time to see. And Miami, weather permitting of course, is as good a time as any. Look...I doubt very much Hill or Waddle will beat Elam any more than Dane. But one is a 1st round caliber bigger, longer CB with ball skills...The other is Dane Jackson...We're 10-3. If we're at the level of fragility that chancing Elam over Jackson is a threat to winning, then we're not as good as we think we are anyway. Again, JMO... We'll see...
  14. Agreed...They, generally, look WAY too sloppy...
  15. Honestly...I think a lot of folks...and that includes me while I'm yelling at my TV screen during games...are getting too far into the weeds on the Offensive issues. If I was to generalize, and I don't usually like to do that, I would say actual execution is the main issue on Offense. 1st drive Josh misses Diggs wide open. From what I could see he's got the single Safety to beat for 6...That's how open he was. Then Josh underthrows Smoke when he's got at least a step or two on the Rookie. Smoke still almost caught that ball. Then later on the McKenzie drop on 3rd down...Those 3 plays executed properly probably lead to a blowout yesterday. Regardless of anything else. McKenzie also had an earlier drop on a 3rd and long along the sidelines (the one he bobbled and dropped...It was a tough catch, but definitely a catchable ball for an NFL WR) that would have extended a drive. Dropped passes, missed blocks, errant passes, penalties...These are all solvable problems before we even get into talent and design. The Bills have clearly been the better team on the field EVERY Sunday...Even in the 3 losses. Execution, penalties, and mistakes have led these games to be closer than they should have been. That seems to be the most obvious point. I do think Dorsey needs to continue to work on scheming easy gains...But all in all we need to get back to that Playoff-level of execution more than anything. JMO...
  16. If I was an opposing coach I think I'd throw to wherever Jackson is on every play...
  17. That's 2 HUGE holding penalties so far...
  18. When you can't dial up an easy 3 yards with Josh Allen at QB...
  19. 3 yards... Hoping this is just blizzard rust...
