  1. Penning?...For Buffalo? Really?... OK... From the last group I prefer 1. Dax Hill 2. Kyler Gordon 3. Jahan Dotson I like Watson and Pickens for Buffalo better than Penning...We Drafted 2 OT's last year. They both contributed as Rookies, and the Bills as an organization HAVE to assume they will continue to improve. That's why they drafted 2 of them...Draft and develop...That means the RT and 3rd OT spots are all but locked up. And I realize there are questions, especially with Doyle...But that kid is a top tier traits athlete (15th best OT RAS since they have been recording the stat) who was drafted for upside. He's had a full year...He has a role now. Let's see...Beane said it about CB last year. (Basically) He's not going to Draft a guy in the 1st that is not likely to play as a Rookie. Penning would have almost no chance to play much as a Rookie. Is he going to move inside and challenge Bates at OG?...I don't think he played OG at all in College...I'm not sure that's smart roster management after re-signing Bates, and I'm not sure it's a viable projection....Anyway...Carry on...
  2. I've been saying... Pickens is a 1st Round caliber talent easily without the knee...And the thing is he's already come back from the knee...Played...Played well...And ran 4.47 at the Combine less than a year removed from the injury...In this Draft...With the all these incredible athletes at WR...Pickens has the 10th highest RAS coming off knee surgery! And he can flat out play the position. He may not be a slot. But so what? Pickens is going to make huge plays in this Bills Offense...He may not be a lock in every situation...But in Buffalo? Oh my... One thing about Pickens...Joe Marino mentioned this...He may not have the "football character" McD looks for. Watch the end of his "Ultimate Highlight" vid on YouTube...I mean...It is what it is...But this organization seems to care about that sort of stuff...And I'm not saying that's a bad thing...I have seen a recent interview with Pickens and I did not pick up on anything bad whatsoever...But I don't know...
  3. It would have to be the injuries...And they would have to be BIG concerns...Because otherwise that dude is a no-brainer 1st round prospect...
  4. Right...If the Bills go DB in the 1st it will be for a player they project to outside CB opposite Tre...And I think Dax is fine there...I have zero problems with Dax Hill at #25...
  5. What?...Anyway...Have a good one...
  6. A stud is a stud...Pickens is an alpha...Since he was a freshman there are plenty of times he was the best player on the field...In the SEC against elite competition. He came back early from a torn ACL and was making big plays vs very good teams in big games...He's about prototype size (he could use a few more lbs)...He's a physical specimen...He's not a slot, but otherwise he can do it all...His tape is filled with highlight reel catches...On this Bills Offense...With Diggs, Davis, Knox, etc...Pickens will be a PROBLEM for opposing Defenses...Any of these receivers coming out this year will likely reach their best potential in Buffalo. There's only one #17... I get that folks are still nervous about the knee...The 4.47 at the Combine was just OK...But I think he'll continue to improve top speed as he is distanced from the injury...Pickens will be hit and miss depending on his landing spot... Folks here gave me a million reasons why DK Metcalf was not going to be an elite NFL WR a few years ago...It was cone drills this...Injury history that...Watch the player play the game...Pickens has special traits...I project with a higher emphasis on upside...it's a little risky...But Pickens has serious upside... 7. I really like Watson as an upside prospect...Especially with this team...I think it's a fair bet he'll have the best opportunity to reach his potential in Buffalo... That being said, to even get to the Watson question in the 1st, I think the following have to be gone at CB and WR...CB's Booth, Gardner, and Stingley...WR's Williams, Olave, and Wilson... Then it's down to Watson or CB's McDuffie and Elam, WR's Dotson and Burks...In that situation I would probably lean towards Watson...But I'm higher on him than most (again I think Buffalo is his dream landing spot). But it's a gamble...I think he's more of a 2nd round guy if you're being safe...I also think George Pickens is every bit the prospect as any of the five 2nd tier players, including Watson, I just mentioned.
  8. I don't see the logic in trading future premium picks that will likely be cheap labor starters, or prime back-ups, when you are clearly going to be up against the cap...
  9. Me too...I just figure...The Bills have been very transparent about wanting a receiving threat out of the backfield. And Cook is the best one in this Draft in that area. Plus he may still be available in the 3rd..
  10. #1 - Christian Watson #2 - James Cook
  11. Oh it's tough...I have several this year... But if I had to pick one...Christian Watson...That size/speed/RAS...
  12. This Bills team should be favored on most Sundays...I honestly think it's good enough to supersede the schedule...Which is tough...But I look at it this way...Those tough teams are more worried they have to play the Bills than the other way around...This team absolutely should be that good...
  13. This is why I think WR with our 1st pick is the better strategy...Go with the high upside at WR with #25...It will be there...In this Mock it should have been Watson at #25...Tariq Woolen is still available here at #57...Watson and Woolen is better than any player we can get here to add to McDuffie...Plus I think they are 100% the type players Beane targets...Super high upside athletes...Tall and very fast... Mock Draft Grade so far - 0.00...😁 Kidding...But it could have been better...😎
  14. Olave is my favorite (100% healthy) WR in this Draft...I think it will take a trade up though...
  15. It is for sure...I'm a REAL big Pickens fan...He's a big time upside guy IMHO...He could also develop into a very good blocking WR to boot...I think if he goes out of the 1st he's a bargain...
  16. My preferences - Average Size, Good Route Runners with good to great speed Garrett Wilson 4.38 6’ 183 Chris Olave 4.39 6’ 187 Taller, Lankier with good to great speed Jameson Williams 4.48 6’2” 179 Christian Watson 4.36 6’4” 208 George Pickens 4.47 6’3” 195 - Not sure he's a McBeane kind-of-guy though Great speed Calvin Austin 4.34 5’7”” 173
  17. I should add with Pickens. To me there is a certain DK Metcalf-Draft vibe with him. In that he missed a lot of time due to injuries in 2020-2021. When I watched DK coming out I saw an Alpha...He was slapping CB's hands out of the way at the line, then blowing by them for BIG gains...He was clearly a stud...To me at least...It was obvious. I'm not saying Pickens is the same as DK because he's not...But I do get the same feeling in his ability to be the best guy on the field at times. And it's looking like Pickens will slide a bit like DK did...DK was a massive Draft Value (obviously)...I can see a scenario to move down a bit and gain Draft capital to move back up in the 2nd and 3rd, and still come out of the 1st 2 Rounds with Pickens and a solid 2nd tier CB (Elam/McCreary/Gordon/Woolen)...Just a thought... Adding part of an article from Kyle Crabbs written on 7/15/2021...The article was mostly about should he/should he not come back...But it had this little nugget...
  18. I'm 100% a Pickens fan...And I think the injury is bringing him in at a nice value, maybe even at #25... When I watch Pickens, all the way back, I see an Alpha...To me there is no doubt. He is seriously put together, and he can pretty much do it all as an outside WR. I think he'll continue to improve on that Combine 4.47 as he fully recovers. Coming back from the injury, playing, and contributing, shows something about the dog in him...Pickens is the prototypical NFL WR physically...6-3-200...Sliding him into that Sanders/Smoke roll would be a nice upgrade IMHO...Yes...Upgrade...And they might be able to do it in the 2nd with a trade up...I'm all for it...
  19. I think the Dolphins have a legit shot at finishing 2nd in the AFC East... This is pretty much the conversation I had with my Nephew earlier today. Miami is a preferred destination. But it usually has little to do with actual football...
  20. I would prefer to continue my irrational dislike for him thank you very much...
  21. 100% agree if it's the same guy from before the injury... I'm of the mind he'll be gone. And if so, the guy I want is Olave.
  22. He must like losing...Good for him...
  23. Oh I did! I'm in those comments...I'm pretty much stalking him on Twitter...I promise to get help after he's signed...
