  1. Sacked 57 times in 14 starts (over two Seasons) in Arizona...That's better than 4 sacks a game... Like Kolb or not, no one denies the Arizona O-Line was one of the worst in the league, and has been for years now...When you add that to the fact that they were dead last in Rushing in 2012, and 24th in 2011...Well...It's tough to put a ton of the blame on Kolb...The entire Offense outside of Larry Fitzgerald has been a train-wreck...
  2. I wanted Caldwell for Bills GM...I was very disappointed they did not go after him aggressively... I do think most of these other teams are setting themselves up to wait on the QB in the top 10...But they each have different reasons...I would not read much into the Jags passing on a QB at #2...Every team, including the Bills, know there is no Luck or RGII in this Draft...J-Ville has a still-young, highly Drafted QB already on their Roster...Plus they have Henne...They will add a QB, in fact I'm sure they'll Draft one...But they can afford to wait till the 2nd Round or later knowing there is no sure-fire guy at #2... I do think this Draft class at QB is forcing some teams with better Depth Charts than the Bills have to wait it out this year...Especially if Flynn goes to Oakland, and Palmer to Arizona...Those teams might still Draft a QB by the 2nd Round, but again...if there is no clear cut Franchise QB they can wait it out a bit... The Bills are in a different situation than those teams...They can't afford to wait...Maybe trade down...but not wait...They must bring in young talent at QB in this Draft...Even if they do pick up Kolb, The Bills more than likely only view him as better competition for the #2 long-term...It gives them better depth at the position, and some insurance if there is an unexpected run on QB's from 1-7...But they still need a Rookie QB to challenge for the starting role...And if they get their pick of all the QB's at #8 I think it's a no-brainer...It's looking like a real possibility that Geno will end up available at #8 overall...I'm not holding my breath though...And if someone pops up ahead of the Bills to take Geno...well...Then the pressure is really on... You're definitely right...It's going to be very interesting when it all plays out...
  3. Maybe I didn't... The only thing i can find is a Joe B article about him showing up at 343 in 2011...
  4. It was in an interview with John Murphy at Camp last year...
  5. This would be an amazing stroke of luck for The Bills IMHO... Some team could still jump in front of the Bills to grab a QB...But if all this goes down (Flynn to the Raiders and Palmer to the Cards) the path towards The Bills getting their choice of all the QB's in this Draft just opened WAY up... Keeping my fingers crossed on this one...
  6. Well...Maybe it's that fact that Dareus admitted to being over 340 at Camp as a Rookie? Marcell was 318 at his Combine where he was a complete athletic beast... So...Maybe fat is too harsh...But he's definitely looked overweight and sluggish at times...There's no question about it... So maybe that's where folks are getting it from...
  7. Cooper is a 1st Round pick all the way...He will get pushed down a bit, the same way Warmack will, and Decastro did last year...If Warmack goes in the Top 17 there is a VERY good chance Cooper goes #18 to the Cowboys who desperately need OG help...But once Cooper gets into the 20's his value becomes very strong...The Colts would then be in play at #24, I don't think there is a chance in hades Cooper gets out of the 1st...
  8. I would imagine the key to a Trade back will be Geno...If he goes from 1-7 The Bills will have a decision to make...Especially if all the other QB's are still around...I think if 2 QB's go in the first 7 picks it puts more pressure on The Bills to stay put and just take their guy...The other factor with a trade down scenario is the jets...They need a QB too...Almost as much as The Bills...And the last thing Buffalo wants to do is trade back a few spots only to see their target guy get Drafted into the Division at #9 overall...I think that will be a major concern... So anyway...I'm guessing if Geno is there they take him...If Geno is gone, but Barkley and Manuel are both there, The Bills could trade down a couple spots...If two of those three are gone they take the QB they like best, maybe even Nassib at #8, and move on... The scenario I like best is trading down a few spots, getting an extra pick, and still landing Manuel...I do doubt very much The Bills trade down...But we'll see...
  9. I don't disagree about Fisher...But he'll be gone by #8...If The Bills want to go O-Line at #8, which I don't believe they will, it will be Lane Johnson or nothing (I just don't see them taking an OG there period)...And at least one Scout, Daniel Jeremiah, thinks there is a chance that Joeckel, Fisher, and Johnson all go in the Top 7... Anyway...Taking an OT like Johnson at least fits the organizational philosophy Buddy has tried to implement along the O-Line...Take OT's and move them inside if necessary...I don't think the Bills would move Glenn inside though...More likely they would move him to RT, and move Hairston to LG...Just my opinion...
  10. While I agree that Bray has a better ceiling then many QB's in this Draft...I don't think he's got the most upside...I think that distinction lies with Manuel or Geno...Flip a coin...Both have arm talent and are very athletic... I like Bray's upside potential...I have been thinking for a long time that there are 4 QB's in this Draft that I would prefer for the Bills...Geno, Manuel, Scott, and Bray...The rest don't do a lot for me...But in this bunch who knows?...
  11. I agree with this assessment... Obviously Russ Brandon and Buddy Nix do not...
  12. They are bozos...No question... But I don't see them taking an OG at #8 because, bozos or not, it does not fit their organizational philosophy whatsoever...And if anyone here, or a guy like McShay, wanted to actually do just a little investigating...or even some deductive reasoning...they would realize that Warmack to The Bills is a long, long shot... The Bills did not want to pay Levitre premium cash...So now they're going to Draft an OG at #8? If they don't value the position enough to spend big money in Free Agency they are not going to value the position enough to use a Top 10 pick either...Buddy has said on numerous occasions that The Bills do not Draft OG's...At least not high...They Draft OT's because you can always move them inside... If someone wants to make an argument for Lane Johnson at #8 overall then I'm listening...At least he's an OT...And that fits the philosophy...But I would be flat out shocked if they took Warmack at #8...It makes no sense...You can get good OG's off the scrap heap...
  13. HUGE yawn... No thanks...
  14. I've just felt all along that somehow, someway, Geno will go somewhere in the top 7 picks...And that will leave the Bills to choose between Manuel or Barkley at #8...And I have no idea which QB they prefer between those two...I do know I prefer Manuel...But I would be OK with Barkley too...I just want them to settle on a guy and Coach him up...
  15. What? I knew guys like Big Ben growing up...You know why they were the way they were? Because they had absolutely zero game with women...They were ogres and women knew it...Women have radars for that sort of thing...So when these idiots saw weak, or drunken women, they thought they could get away with things...They were very low forms of human...Sub-human...Un-evolved...They thought they were tough guys but they probably cried themselves to sleep at night because they were too dumb to understand how to attract a woman the right way... Insinuating that any, or all guys on this board wish they could be like that is...Well...Whatever...You must not have sisters...
  16. I'm going with a twist on one of my originals... "The Buffalo Bills...Because good teams need someone to beat..."
  17. It's a fair point...I'm really not in favor of bringing Kolb or Flynn in to be honest...I would like to go with a Rookie and see what happens...But from a Depth Chart standpoint I think I would prefer both those QB's to TJax...That's all... It does seem like this is a discussion in turd-polishing for sure... But anyway...
  18. Considering that Kolb was playing on a team that had one of the worst, if not the worst O-Lines in football...and one of the worst, if not the worst running games in the NFL...he actually did not put up terrible numbers...Kolb got cremated in those two years at Arizona... From 2009-2010 in Philly Kolb started 7 games and was sacked a total of 18 times...In Arizona he started 14 games over two seasons, and was sacked 57 times... I think talent around him, and coaching, made a big difference with Kolb...I still don't view him as any long-term answer...But it's hard for me to imagine that Kolb would not be better than TJax...And again...When compared to Flynn...Kolb costs less, and no Draft picks are required to get him...
  19. Thank You...Agree 100% with this take...If the Bills were not willing to pay Levitre, why in the world would they Draft an OG in the Top 10? Footnote...There were plenty of "experts" who felt David Decastro was the top rated player after Luck and RGIII last year...He went #24 overall...
  20. Not Mayock...He gets his info from the teams...FO, Coaches, Scouts...etc...Sometimes from College Coaches too...If you know anything about Mike Mayock, and his make-up, you would know...I'm going to go out on a limb and bet he does not talk to Agents at all...He's just not that kind of guy...It's not his style...He's 100% old-school...
  21. One thing to remember about Manuel...Mike Mayock moved him up to the #2 QB spot for a reason...Mayock is really tapped in to numerous NFL scouts, personnel guys, and GM's across the league...He does this every year...One example last year was Chandler Jones who Mayock elevated late...One of the people Mayock talks to the most (and is closest to) is Bill Belichick, Who took Jones in the 1st Round...Mayock does not do these things unless he knows something first...Then he goes back and watches more tape on the individual kid...He never says who he's talked to or anything like that...He just moves the player up assuming he sees the same thing on tape these scouts are telling him they see... Mayock said yesterday he believes Manuel will be a 1st round pick...You can all but bank on the fact that someone has told him they'll take Manuel in the 1st if they get a chance...I think this is a sneaky way that Mayock stays ahead of these other Draft gurus...He gets better info because NFL scouts like him more, and trust him...
  22. That's never even come close to being stated...They can barely say Whaley will eventually take over...Like in the distant future...At least publicly they're not saying it... As of now all we have is Brandon's words about Buddy being 100% in charge of the Football operation...And on the surface they have done absolutely nothing to refute those words...
  23. I missed this take before my post John... Great minds think alike...
  24. Exactly... When Kelly finally got his way later in their careers (Jimbo is always commenting that he lobbied the Coaching staff hard for Tasker to play WR throughout his career) Tasker's contributions as a WR were actually very good...I seem to remember The Bills having a rash of WR injuries in 95 in order for Tasker to finally get a shot...But even then The Bills were very careful about how much he was used as a WR... The more I think about it...I wonder if Tasker played nowadays how good he could be as a WR?...I think he was actually Welker-like...But it was a different game back then...
  25. 15 Draft Picks in 3 years on Defense...3 Defenses that were historically bad for this Franchise...3 of the 5 worst Defenses in Franchise history... So...Nix has that going for him...
