  1. Hope - Trade down get Mahomes or even Watson... Expect - They do the Bills thing and fill a hole with a player who will sign with the Patriots in 4-5 years...
  2. I tend to agree with this take... It's just poor team building IMHO...Kind of like what the Jets have done on D-Line...You're just spinning wheels and moving salaries in and out year after year...But you're not actually winning anything...Unless you get really, really lucky and one of the guys you stack turns into JJ Watt...But that is such a long shot...
  3. Of the top 12 QB's last year (according to PFF) only 4 were the consensus #1 QB in their respective Drafts (Stafford, Ryan, Newton, Luck)... Beyond that it's Palmer, Bradford,
  4. Mahomes... Non QB would be Hooker... Non QB on Offense Corey Davis...
  5. And IMHO it's impossible to argue with that conclusion...I don't think either was worth what they got...Not even close...And I did not dislike either player...Woods was one of my favs...But the value was absent in both those contracts...To me it was a complete no-brainer to let both walk...
  6. Well...I do like Davis most of the WR's... I don't think there is any chance Thomas or Lattimore get to #10...I kinda doubt Howard will either... I'm not a fan of WR or TE in the 1st...For the Bills that is... And if they have Howard and Ross ahead of Reuben Foster...Well...I can see Howard...He is a freak...But Foster is a better football player...A TE in the 1st when they already have Clay and a QB that struggles getting the ball to the TE is a really tough sell to me...But having Ross ahead of Foster is a complete joke IMHO... Very true...I think that kinda speaks to the job Whaley has done though does it not? I mean...There is no consensus because there are more questions than answers all over the roster...And I'm not a Whaley basher...It just is what it is...
  7. I don't think the Bills go WR at #10...I never have...The only way I can see it is if they have serious...and I mean it would have to be SERIOUS concerns about Sammy's foot... I especially don't think the Bills would go WR in the instance of this Mock because Brooks had them passing on Reuben Foster...I mean...I can see some scenarios where they would pass on Foster...Especially if Hooker is there...But with Hooker, Adams, and Lattimore gone I think the Bills would sprint to that podium with the Foster card...
  8. Anytime soon as in 2107? Because that's as far as anyone can go before that statement becomes risky... There are plenty of people that would have said the same thing about Dak, or Russell Wilson, Or Carr...
  9. He won Bucky and Jeremiah over big time on their Podcast interview with him...His recall was pretty amazing... That kid...I don't care how book-smart he is...And I'm not saying he's not...But he's Football smart...You can clearly tell his passion for it, and preparation have him ready to tackle the jump...It may take a year, or even a little longer, for him to learn it...But once he does...Look out... I currently live in a state of perpetual fear that we will pass on him and 3 years from now he's a top 5 QB in the league...While we go 6-10...
  10. 1) Garrett 2) Mahomes 3) Hooker 4) Allen 5) Lattimore 6) Thomas 7) Foster 8) Adams 9T) Watson/Trubisky 10) Fournette
  11. You're right...I have him #2 overall...
  12. You do realize TD Mike is literally the #1 reason we never missed Karlos leaving right?
  13. Right because he is the reason they went 7-9...Or had ANYTHING to do with that...You've got to be kidding me with that...
  14. Well...This option leaves you without the player and a 5th...I think it was better safe than sorry...But that's just me...I said the same thing about Hogan... I don't know...I'm actually dumbfounded by Bills fans being OK with losing that kid...to the freaking Pats...for a 5th round pick...I'm a little shocked to be honest...Mike was such a valuable tool...Folks can say what they want about RB's growing on trees and all...I think Mike brought it every week and he busted BIG runs... Whatever...Just another day as a fan of a loser...
  15. Maybe I'm missing something...But I don't think anyone is assuming the Pats would give up 2nd Round Picks...That's the whole idea...You pay a little more to assure the player returns...
  16. Exactly...A fact also lost on Whaley as well... Anyone who thinks TD Mike was not worth that 2nd Round tender money needs to find another sport to follow because football is not their thing...
  17. I'll take my chances on the superstar thing, and still call it a stupid move if I want to...The truth is there is at least a decent chance Ragland would have been there had the Bills just stayed put...I don't like trading up and giving up picks...So I'm pretty much going to think it's stupid regardless...And that's just my opinion...It's nothing against Ragland...I did not like the trade up...And I definitely did not feel he was the sure fire 1st round talent Whaley said he was...He's a solid player...But IMHO he's not worth a 2nd and two 4th's, one of which cost the Bills a potential Franchise QB we now know they intended on Drafting... If Ragland proves me wrong it's a win for me no matter what because I still love the Bills...But I think that superstar thing is a big-time long-shot...Especially with the ACL now...
  18. Well...I watch a TON of tape when I like a guy...everything I can get my hands on...There are a lot of players I watch 5-10 mins from a couple games and I never watch again...Just don't like em' or it's a lot of...Meh... The 1st time I watched anything on Mahomes...I think it was the La Tech game...The first freaking play!!! He dodges an unblocked rusher, steps up and has another bearing down on him, pulls up in a flash and floats an absolute perfect gem of a pass over the middle...Hits the receiver just perfectly in stride for a HUGE gain...And I'm like OK...Wow...Just wow! Now...Is all his tape that good? No...But...A lot of it is...And the swagger that kid plays with...He's got to be my favorite player coming out of any Draft since Cam Newton...I probably like him more than Cam...It is going to depend on how much patience the team that gets him has...Favre drove Holmgren insane at times...But I think with Mahomes patience will pay off and he will be a top 5 QB in this league in 3 years... And if that happens I will literally never, ever forgive the Bills if they pass on him...Unless of course they somehow manage to match his output at the QB position elsewhere... Anyway...Love the kid...Please Coach McDermott...Pound that freaking table...
  19. Well...It's Tony Romo...Not Brian Hoyer...What would you expect? There's a hell of a lot of history there and the Owner not only loves Romo, they are personal friends... I'm pretty sure Sal Cappachio has gone on record saying Dak was the pick instead of Cardale had he been there...The Bills did like Dak quite a bit...But in typical Bills fashion they valued a MLB and back-up DT more than the most important position on the field... I'm really unsure why any Bills fan is willing to let them off the hook on that one...The miscalculation and inability to work the Draft board in your favor, instead of against you, was really inexcusable...And to top it all off we don't have a 4th this year because of that stupid trade-up for Ragland...
  20. Yep...And I think he's right this time... Did you hear Matt Waldman on WGR today? I think he absolutely nailed the Mahomes topic... And spoiler in case you did not hear it, he likes Mahomes...He basically said...And please forgive me for paraphrasing here...Trubisky is more of the Alex Smith-type QB...Mahomes is the Big Ben/Favre-type...But he explained in detail why teams will Draft the Trubisky-types over the Mahomes-types...It was a really great/detailed explanation of how QB's like Mahomes look real bad early on when they make mistakes because they have no fear, and few limits to what they can do...So...Even though it takes a litte time to coach the bad out it's completely coach-able because you're sort of reverse engineering...They can already do all the hard stuff...You're working backwards on the fundamentals... The one caveat is they HAVE to be hard workers...and Mahomes is... He also said the Mahomes bad footwork/technique knock is a bit overblown because there are plenty of throws where he has picture perfect form...The difference is with a guy like Mahomes, when things go bad and break down, he elevates quite often...it's an unteachable trait... Mahomes is a much safer bet than teams think...But generally they don't have the patience...It's a lot of CYA by GM's...And that's why they get it wrong a lot... The Bills better Draft that kid...
  21. This is true to a point...But I was listening to the Kiper/McShay podcast yesterday and Kiper made it very clear that Gruden loves Mahomes...He said Mahomes is Gruden's guy this year and promised that just about every pick Gruden would be saying the team should take Mahomes... So...Apparently he loves Mahomes a little more than even the usual QB love...
  22. Who are these guys? Don't Draft a QB because you might piss KW and Woody off? If my GM or HC is thinking that way I fire them on the spot... Great plan for more 7-9!!! Ugh...
  23. 1) Mahomes 2) Trubisky 3) Watson 4) Foster 5) Davis (though I'm not crazy about WR in the 1st...I like the kid)
  24. I've watched enough of all these guys to say that I don't think this statement is anywhere close to being the truth...And it's really no knock on Dobbs or Webb as developmental prospects...But just as capable of becoming good starters? I don't think that is the case at all...Especially when compared with Trubisky, Watson, and my favorite Mahomes...
