  1. Since the lock out seems to be here for a while, am looking for things to look forward to when football is finally returns. I was wondering if anyone had seen enough in college of our drafted RB Johnny White to know if he can be the type of back that Marshawn Lynch (excluding Lynch's fine driving skills) was for us. They seem similar in size and both catch the bacll and run hard inside. I think having 3 backs who have different specialities is a good thing si he could be a help.
  2. I think he's an idiot! I have turned off sports radio if he is all who is on. A blowhard
  3. I lok at this list and really find it odd and IMO Bogus. I love Kyle Williams, but he should not be the #3 player in the NFL. I take this as a way to for PFF to generate discussion and page views. Unless I missed it, Suh is not even on this list. This isn't a knock on Williams, but if he was the 3rd best player in the NFL, our run defense would not have been such a sieve. While true one player does not control everything, he's got to contol something.
  4. Something to think about. My daughter lives in San Diego -- combine a visit with agame.
  5. He was cut and no one came looking for him -- tells you alot. He got his money and said adios
  6. Well, the lock out is going strong, the draft is over and the Sabres are out of the playoffs. This to fill our day with non-important questions like this one. Sorry if this has been done before, but what the heck. Here's the question and my response: Had Scott Norwood made the infamous "wide right" field goal, how many of the next 3 Super Bowls do you think the Bills would have made it into? My response: I think losing the first one drove them to the second and so on and so forth. I think had the Bills one the first one, they would not have been in the next Super Bowl, but would have made it to the next one against Dallas. I don't think they would have made it to the 4th one.
  7. I can not argue that the Bills deserve a top 100 player -- I can't think of one. Kyle Williams was the Bills best performers with Stevie Johnson second. Williams is not in the top 5 of D-Tackles and Johnson is not in the top 10 wideouts. Moorman was a top 3 punter until this past year -- he slipped in 2010 -- not sure if it is age or what? That said, punters won't make a top 100 list or at least should not.
  8. Well, IMO it would be a disaster to draft Green. 1st round WR bust as much if not more than any position. If the Bills draft Green, it'll be the 1st step in moving the team, because there will be no reason to watch this team or go to games next year. They wil have no chance of winning more games next year than they did this year. It might make us the front runner in the Andrew Luck sweepstakes
  9. I don't see this happening. the Redskins do not have alot of Picks in this draft -- I think they are missing the 2nd and 4th round picks. Do they mortgage next year for this guy -- I don't think so. The Skins have as many holes as the Bills and can't aford to give away picks.
  10. While true that Schefter reported for Denver, he is a Shanahan boy and used to get all his inside information from him so I;m not sure he's still the Denver source. The Shanahan connection was still in process last year when there were "leaks" about Redskin inside info. I too hope that the Bills get Miller, but if it's Dareus that's OK to. The good/bad news will be if we take Newton this year (heaven help us) we should be in good shape for the #1 pick in the draft next year and to draft Andrew Luck, a real QB.
  11. Let's hope Carolina does. I don't want the Bills to be tempted. It would be a terrible pick.
  12. I agree that we need to draft impaxct players and I'd go further to say they should be on the defensive side of the ball. AJ Green may indeed turn out to be a great player (I'm not sold yet completely), but even if heturns out super he would not make an impact in Buffalo. Our offense was not stopped because we needed receivers, it was stopped because the line was not as good as it needed to be and the running game suffered. Don't get me started on Tight End. Drafting a wideout with our first pick will mirror drafting Spiller last year -- he may be good, but he won't make a difference on this team. In this case, Spiller wasn't even that good last year. Let's look for DEFENSE and impact players on the front 7. If the Bills improve there, they will be a better team.
  13. Add Nate newton as a guard on the o-line (drugs) and Michael Irvin and Lance Rentzel to the growing list of wideouts. We could likely get a whole team of just Cowboys. How about Lawrence Phillips to the RB core. I think we could and Biscuit (C. Bennett) to the LB core for sexual assult & Bruce Smith for drunk driving. There are plenty to chose from.
  14. Interesting -- 2 wide receivers at Tier 1. it may be the position with the most potential to bust out. Many highly ranked wideouts don't make it. Makes me wonder about these rankings. I'd puke. Not because it's Jones over green, but because it's a wideout.
  15. Need to somehow slow down the run 1 -- Inside LB 2a -- D-End (if we are a 3-4 team 2b -- D-Tackle is we are a 4-3 team 3 -- Outside LB 4 -- Left / Right Tackle (not sold on Bell as a LT - could switch to right 5 -- QB 6 -- Tight End
  16. I'd have to go as follows: 1. Fairley 2. Dareus 3. Miller -- Not real sold on this pick as I'm not sure he's Matthews like, but LB is a huge need for the Bills -- maybe bigger than D-Line
  17. We could call Drew Bledsoe & Rob Johnson 1st round draft picks as we gave up a 1st rounder and more for each of them.
  18. I generally agree with what you said, but comparing McCargo to McNabb is like comparing apples to oranges. In mcNabbs case Shanny should have well known qwhat he was getting as there was a 10 year professional body of work. McNabb wasn't going to change and he should have known that. In McCargo's case, there was a decent possibility that he could learn and improve -- since we invested such a high pick, we needed to take that chance that he could improve -- looks like he can't. The McNabb move was a big mistake made by Shanahan when he should have known better because he knew the QB and knew the system.
  19. Yes -- lets bring in guys who can't perform just because they are former high draft picks. We can group Golston with maybe and maybe substitute in Walt Patulski. VG is the guy i would want the least out of who the Jests released
  20. What a pompous windbag. As they say in the movies: "Pretty bold talk for a one-eyed fat man" I hope the Bills kick some Jet behind this coming year (I also hope there is a this year) Pompous Rex
  21. What you say abuot Green sounds deceptively familiar to what I heard about Spiller after we picked him last year and at least for last year that did not work out very well. The Green pick would be the worst scenario in my opinion as the Bills once again would be drafting into the #1 strength of the team, just like last year. A QB can't throw to a "sure fire prospect" when he is on this back or running for his life and a QB also can't throw to a "sure fire prospect" when his defense can't get off the field because they give up over 170 yards a game rushing. I want defense for the #1 pick.
  22. Seriously -- Cam Newton is a one-year wonder from a college QB perspective. Do you really think he was the reason or even a key contributor to the other national championship team he was on?
