  1. I'd say they did a fine job run blocking. Pass protection was the problem.
  2. If our D could stop opposing RBs with their mouths we'd have the best run D in the league.
  3. Losman has the best OL in the league to go along with one of the best run stopping Ds in the league just like big Ben does? Sweet! I'm not defending Losman's play, he's been horrible, but come on.
  4. I thought you said you didn't bring up DB unless a "basher" did first?
  5. Yeah, I noticed that on TV and thought the same thing.
  6. Not to mention, benching him when our D is playing like one of the worst in the league, what would be the point? So Holcomb could come in and lose games too? The D is like a sieve. With all the talk of disappointment in Losman, I'm much more disappointed in our D.
  7. I would have loved to see a fake QB sneak with Losman pitching it out to WM on that play. Risky playcall, but one that could have paid off with a TD.
  8. Atlanta had 236 yards rushing today. A 6.6 ypc average. Our D couldn't get off the field for most of the day on 3rd downs (at one point allowing Atlanta to convert 6 of their first 8 3rd down attempts). The D allowed two, time consuming long drives for TDs to start the game. The offensive line, while solid in the run game, was horrid in pass protection. Losman looked about as bad as a QB can look today. He can't hit open WRs and he panics in the face of the blitz. Still, given this, if our D shows anything today, we win. I'm not going to defend the guy's play, but to say this is all on him is an outright lie or the opinion of somebody that doesn't have a clue.
  9. Losman has been horrid, but if you think a caretaker QB could get it done with this team you're mistaken. The Bills D is one of the worst in the league thus far. Caretaker QB + bad Defense does not = wins.
  10. Losman was horrible today, but if you think he "single handedly lost the game" you're a moron.
  11. Dumb clock management. You call your last time out before the 2 minute warning. So, if you stop them on 3rd (and they run it) they have to punt it after the 2 minute warning. They just wasted 4-5 seconds on the clock and gave the Falcons the opportunity to throw the ball on 3rd down to boot. Call it before the 2 minute warning and odds are they don't throw the ball.
  12. They need to keep running the ball and using play action. There's plenty of time left, no need to go into panic mode.
  13. Why the hell does Grey keep blitzing? They've eaten it up all day. How about making some adjustments when your original gameplan doesn't seem to be working?
  14. Atlanta is 6/8 converting 3rd downs. Our D is just horrid. I wonder if anybody is going to defend them by saying our O has left them out to dry today...
  15. That's quite possibly our season right there. The one guy we can't afford to lose (other than McGahee) is Spikes.
  16. I'd say the Vincent hit was questionable, but that Crowell penalty was the correct call. You can't put your hands into the face of the QB, it will be called every single time.
  17. Actually it was the result of an overaggressive D not staying in their lanes and Dunn breaking off a long ass run because of it. GD I’m tired of this D of ours already this season. How are we supposed to win low scoring defensive struggles if our D can never get off the field because they let the opponent sustain drives over and over and over again.
  18. BF, is that you?
  19. Its an ankle injury from getting leg whipped from behind...give me a friggin' break. Its not a matter of "playing through pain". Its a matter of being able to drive forward in the run game or plant in pass protection. If the ankle isn't stable it can't be done.
  20. You're seriously comparing a bad ankle for an OL with a S with a broken thumb in a cast? Sounds like somebody has an anti-MW agenda to propagate.
  21. The question isn't whether the QB throws bombs or not, but whether the WR is a big play threat. Rice and Taylor could take it the distance on any slant, that's the definition of a big play threat.
  22. I'm hoping Shelton has a repeat of last season where he got off to a slow start (to put it nicely) and then picked up his game in the last 10-11 games. If not, you're right, Shelton is a liabitly though I'm not sure what options the Bills really have here. He's still much better than Joe Burns and unless they actually try to scheme it to avoid having a FB on the field much (which is a mistake) we'll just have to live with Shelton.
  23. Park yourself at the bar of a local sports bar and nurse a beer a half. I used to do that to keep the cost down and it worked pretty well.
  24. If San Fran has the #1 pick in the draft this year I wouldn't be surprised if they trade Alex Smith away for a #1 pick and select Leinart.
  25. Actually, the exclusion of Moss wasn't willfully contrarian...it was an oversight. He was supposed to be slotted in there at 4. I also realized I forgot A. Johnson as well!
