  1. Yep, they've done a hell of a job and got a lot of reps. Team should be okay if a starter goes down.
  2. What I love the most about EJ is that he is taking his future into his own hands. Marrone/Hackett obviously coached him to check down when the original read wasn't open. After the benching EJ said the next time he got a chance he was going to let it rip. Has he ever. Suddenly, the thing that everybody said was his weakness - deep ball accuracy - has become his strength.
  3. I guess I just trust Cassel to be the prepared vet coming off the bench more than the other two. With an entire week of preparation I trust both TT and EJ much more than Cassel though.
  4. Who starts the 2nd half at QB?
  5. I said it weeks ago. My preference is to start EJ or TT and have Cassel as the #2 on game days. However, if the starter is hurt the #3 should jump into the starter role. I'm still on board with this.
  6. Thus far is looks a lot better. Very concerned about depth though.
  7. The more I see EJ or TT all I think is: Anybody but Cassel. Please. Please. Please.
  8. It depends on McKelvin's health. If he's back then we have Gilmore, McKelvin and Robey at the top 3 with Darby only coming in with the dime.
  9. I dunno, that sand pit could hit him too hard.
  10. Cassel out and immediately there's a big play. Nice throw.
  11. Pettine's D was good against the pass and weak vs. run. This D is getting sliced up via the passing game. Like I said, I'm not worried about the D. They'll be good.
  12. Regular season is the time to complain about this D. I think they've earned that much. I'm not worried at all about them.
  13. I understand Rex is testing the secondary but at some point he's got to be concerned with Darby's confidence. Perhaps he should give him some help.
  14. Much like the first game he has a high completion percentage, a low YPA and drives stall. Zero points.
  15. Like Cassel's tenacity, but he needs to slide there.
  16. True, but that's not stopping EJ from connecting on big plays in the pre-season.
  17. The problem with Cassel is that he doesn't take advantage of the playmakers. It's going to require a lot of 10+ play drives to score. You're not going to be able to consistently to that. To score a lot of points you need some big plays.
  18. Are those mutually exclusive things?
  19. Yeah, I don't want to think this way, but I'm beginning to. Just have a bad feeling that Cassel is their guy no matter what.
  20. Slow as hell 1st quarter. Fifty minutes in and there's over 5 min left in the 1st quarter.
